• Pinned tabs: pin a tab to the start or the end of the strip from the tab menu or on the Tabs page. Pinned tabs stay in view when the other tabs overflow into the chevron. A pinned tab without an icon shows a pin unless Show a pin on pinned tabs is off (Look page or the Appearance menu).
• Show only if (Tabs page): a tab can be in the strip only while title formatting for the playing track gives some text, a video tab for videos only, say.
• Tabs that follow playback can also switch On every new track, and Only if takes title formatting for the new track, or for the track that stopped: the switch happens only if it gives some text. When several tabs want the switch, one with a condition wins.

• Configure and the Appearance menu use one wording, with shorter labels (Thickness, Rotate titles on side strips, Padding before/after and above/below, Stay after a switch...). The Input page is grouped into Mouse and Keyboard.
• The indicator, accent and background lists are in a natural order (Underline, Pill, Tab, Outlined tab, Text only; Custom colour last). Your settings stay as they are.
• The Appearance menu is grouped like the Configure pages: Fill strength is under Active tab, in place of Accent strength, and Show every tab as a chip and Show a pin on pinned tabs are check items.

Fixed

• Clicking a tab or the strip brings the keyboard focus into the container, so Ctrl+Tab switches its tabs even after an Enhanced Playlist Tabs element had the focus.
• A panel shown by a tab switch is painted at once (foo_vis_avs sat still after a switch).
• OpenLyrics in a Columns UI tab no longer stays empty until the panel area changes size.
• Configure: a tab removed from the container while the dialog is open no longer makes preview and OK apply to the wrong tabs.
• Outlined tabs show the hover wash like the other indicators.
• Titles while nothing plays: $meta(), $info() and the like give nothing instead of [UNKNOWN FUNCTION].

• Text colours: the Colours page can set the title colour of the other tabs and of the active tab (selected tabs use it too).
• Hover title colour: the Hover page's "Title" now has the same choices for the other tabs and the active tab: Brightens, Stays as it is, Takes the hover colour, or a custom colour. The active tab's old "Lighten the text colour" box is now "Brightens", and your setting carries over.
• Background opacity: with a transparent background, a slider paints some of the strip's own background back over the layout's.

Fixes

• Shift+click range: after the active tab changed without a click (the keyboard, follow playback, a tab added or removed), Shift+click selected a range from the tab clicked before. It now starts at the active tab.
• Selection ends on focus loss: clicking into a panel or switching to another window now clears the tab selection.
• Active tab outline: the outline on the active tab now shows whenever it is part of the selection, and goes away with the selection.
• Lost click: a press on a selected tab that was interrupted (a menu, Alt+Tab) could clear the next Ctrl+click selection.
• The keyboard focus goes back where it was when a selection ends, so auto-hide no longer stays open after one.
• Configure behind Preferences: opened from Columns UI's Layout page, the Configure dialog could open behind Preferences. It now opens in front.
• Auto-hide and Configure: an auto-hidden strip now stays shown while the Configure dialog is open.
• A press on a tab that was removed before the button came up could read past the end of the tab list. It is now dropped, and the mouse capture is always released.

• Two new active-tab styles: Tab and Outlined tab. The active tab is drawn as a tab joined to the panel, filled with the accent or outlined in it. Choose them in Configure > Look > Indicator or Appearance > Active tab.
• Multi-select. Ctrl+click toggles a tab, Shift+click selects a range. With several tabs selected, the strip menu offers Hide N tabs and Clear selection.
• Drag a selection. Dragging a selected tab moves the whole selection as one block. Esc cancels a drag and restores the order.
• Accent colour from the UI's highlight colour: Default UI's Highlight colour or Columns UI's Active item frame colour (now listed on Columns UI's Colours and fonts page for Better Tabs).

• Clicking empty strip space or pressing Esc clears the selection.
• The strip background is exactly the UI background (no lighter shade in dark mode).
