Hotfix on last production release 🚀

This hotfix targets only the garbage-collector service. It addresses critical issue that affects resource deallocation by the GC:

• Garbage collector not working on aws-prod #3975

I have check the fix on master and it is looking good. The issue appears to have been fixed
