ProstoCAD for FreeCAD 0.13.1: test build for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3). Home page: https://prostocad.com
macOS: ProstoCAD-FreeCAD-0.13.1-2026-10-27-772298c-macOS-arm64.zip. Install as before (see README.txt in the archive); an existing installation is simply replaced.
Windows: ProstoCAD-FreeCAD-0.13.1-2026-10-27-772298c-Windows-x64.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.
Both archives have the user manual and the presentation for their system (EN, RU).
0.13.1
Smooth sketching; Extrude Cut off the part cuts at once.
Improvements
- While a sketch is open, the view keeps up with the mouse: drawing a rectangle, a line or anything else no longer
lags behind the pointer (FreeCAD put off redrawing while the mouse kept moving). - Points are easier to catch on a Mac's Retina screen: the pick radius is doubled once (Preferences > Display > 3D
View > Pick radius; a value you set yourself stays). - While a rectangle is drawn, its two diagonals show dashed, for orientation. The finished rectangle gets a
construction point in its middle: put it on the origin and the rectangle is centred.
Bug fixes
- Extrude > Cut did nothing the first time when the profile lay off the part (it went into its own empty Solid, and
Cut cut only that); Intersect and then Cut was needed. Cut now cuts the part at once. - A rectangle's centre point could not be put on an axis: the click took the point's constraint icon. That icon is
hidden now, also on FreeCAD's Center Rectangle.
ProstoCAD for FreeCAD 0.13.0
ProstoCAD for FreeCAD 0.13.0 (formerly InCad): test build for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3).
InCad has a new name: ProstoCAD for FreeCAD. Nothing else changes: the same workbench, and every file made before opens as it did. Home page: https://prostocad.com
macOS: ProstoCAD-FreeCAD-0.13.0-2026-10-27-4176e15-macOS-arm64.zip. Install as before (see README.txt in the archive); the module folder is still called InCad, so an existing installation is simply replaced.
Windows: ProstoCAD-FreeCAD-0.13.0-2026-10-27-4176e15-Windows-x64.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.
Both archives have the user manual and the presentation for their system (EN, RU).
0.13.0
InCad is now ProstoCAD for FreeCAD: a new name, the same workbench.
Improvements
- InCad has a new name: ProstoCAD for FreeCAD (the workbench shows as ProstoCAD). Nothing else changes: the same
tools, and every file made before opens as it did. - The new home page: https://prostocad.com. The project's GitHub address is now https://github.com/Igr11/ProstoCAD
(the old address still leads there). - Install as before: the module folder is still called InCad, so an existing installation is simply replaced.
- The sketch's right-click menu offers Delete for whatever is selected: lines, points and dimensions. A right-click on
something not selected selects it first, so Delete removes exactly that. - Parameters: - deletes a sketch dimension (d1, d2...) from its sketch; one that a formula uses stays, and the status
line says which formula.
Bug fixes
- After Symmetric the lines could not be dragged: the tool stayed on, waiting for another pair, and took every click.
It now ends once the pair is made. - Messages said "an InCad part"; they now read "a ProstoCAD part".

0.12.0
Mirror Solid; sketch Mirror that follows its original; InCad's own Symmetric; Parameters window; Split Gap; Report a Bug.
Improvements
- Mirror Solid (3D Model > Pattern): a mirrored copy of a whole Solid as a new Solid. Select the Solid (with several,
click the one), Mirror Solid, then click the mirror plane - an origin or work plane, or a flat face. The copy
follows the original - every change, every feature added later - and takes features of its own. - Mirror Solid > Result: New Solid, Join (the mirror image joined into the same Solid: a half made whole) or Cut (the
image cut out of it). Mirror: Whole, or only the part on One side / the Other side of the plane - a part crossing
the plane becomes symmetric with Join. - Break Mirror Link (right-click a Mirror Solid row or its Solid): the copy keeps its shape and stops following. On a
feature Mirror it keeps the mirrored material as it is. - Boolean can use a mirrored Solid as a tool on its own original (Join, Cut, Intersect): the copy then follows the
original up to the step before that Boolean. - Sketch > Mirror: select the shapes, Mirror, then click the mirror line - any line (also one of the shape's own), the
X or Y axis, or a point. The copy keeps the original's size and follows it, and no dimension is copied. Right-click
the copy > Break Mirror Link frees it. - Sketch > Symmetric is InCad's own: two points, two lines or two circles, then the symmetry line; it never picks a
dimension, and stays on until Esc. - Shift-click a sketch line: its whole outline is selected at once, and shows selected.
- Parameters window (View > Windows > Parameters): every parameter with its value, result and the features that use
it; add, remove, rename, Find, Delete Unused. - Split > Gap (in 0.05 mm steps) and Gap from: Both, This Solid or New Solids.
- Settings (gear) > Report a Bug: describe the problem, attach the log, and it goes to InCad's issues on GitHub (this
build opens GitHub's New Issue page). - Right-click menus show only what applies to what is under the pointer; the sketch menu is shorter (Constraints
(n)... opens the list). - Spur Gears / Worm Gear handles are bigger, coloured by axis, and easier to grab.
- The manual's Known limits list what Mirror Solid and clearances can't do yet.
Bug fixes
- The Parameters button only moved the focus to the small panel: it opens the Parameters window now.
- Symmetric sometimes caught a dimension's point instead of the sketch point.
- Mirror of a chain failed ("other constraints fight it") when its points lay on the mirror line.
- Boolean > Cut with a clearance refused a tool that can't be grown (an Emboss, a thread): it is cut with Clearance 0
mm now, and the status line says so. - Sketch Offset lit only the line clicked, not the whole outline it takes.
InCad 0.11.4
InCad 0.11.4: test build for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3).
macOS: InCad-0.11.4-2026-10-26-3251cea-macOS-arm64.zip. Install as before (see README.txt in the archive).
Windows: InCad-0.11.4-2026-10-26-3251cea-Windows-x64.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.
Both archives have the user manual and the presentation for their system (EN, RU).
0.11.4
Every plane of a row can be edited and turned; work features on 3D Line points and work points; work feature fixes.
Improvements
- Double-click a work plane (in the browser or in the view), or Edit on its menu: its Work Plane dialog opens. New
Sketch on a work plane is on its right-click menu; a right-click on a work plane in the view gives its browser row's
menu. - Planes: every plane of a row has its own dialog - its offset along its normal and its own Turn, rings on it. With a
row's dialog open, a click on another plane of the row keeps what was set and moves the dialog and the rings there. - Point fields offer a 3D Line's ends and the points it passes through, and work points. Normal to edge at point on a
segment of a 3D Line and its end gives the plane for a loft along it. A corner of a 3D Line or a work point is kept
as that point: the work feature follows it. - Work Plane > Angle around edge and Normal to edge at point take an origin or work axis as the edge.
- Offset and Turn step below zero with the arrows and the mouse wheel.
Bug fixes
- Only the first plane of a row could be turned: the others had no dialog (a double-click started a sketch).
- Planes typed on the second or third plane of a row made a second row on top; it now sets the whole row's count.
- The first plane of a row switched to another method kept the others tied to it; they now stay where they are, as
planes of their own. - Angle around edge about an origin axis failed.
- Corners clicked again in a work feature's Edit became fixed points: the feature no longer followed the part.
- On Edit, a work feature took a pick in another Solid and landed in the wrong place; it now says so.
- Work Point > Midpoint of edge on an arc or a curve was off the edge; it is halfway along the edge now.
- Work Point > Edge meets plane and Two edges meet put a point even where nothing meets; they now say so.
- Work Axis > On edge took a circle and placed a meaningless axis; it asks for a straight edge.
- A 3D Line (and a sketch's Text) could not be hidden ("Nothing to hide or show"): Hide / Show, Show All /
Hide All Sketches and the browser treat them as sketches; a 3D Line a Sweep uses hides, as a used sketch does. - Midplane between a face and itself was accepted.
- Picks that cannot work (parallel planes, three points in a line, the same point twice) are refused in plain words.
InCad 0.11.3
InCad 0.11.3: test build for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3).
macOS: InCad-0.11.3-2026-10-25-ac9c1b2-macOS-arm64.zip. Install as before (see README.txt in the archive).
Windows: InCad-0.11.3-2026-10-25-ac9c1b2-Windows-x64.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.
Both archives have the user manual and the presentation for their system (EN, RU).
0.11.3
Hide Edges works after the Shaded button.
Bug fixes
- Appearance > Hide Edges did nothing once the Shaded button had been used: Shaded drew the edge lines of every Solid
whatever its setting. Shaded now shows each Solid as it is set, so Hide Edges hides its edges.
InCad 0.11.2
InCad 0.11.2: test build for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3).

Windows: InCad-0.11.2-2026-10-24-ebd886c-Windows-x64.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.
Both archives have the user manual and the presentation for their system (EN, RU).
0.11.2
Hole and Thread in several places at once, Apply + keeps the settings, Delete asks about what breaks.
Improvements
- Hole > Concentric: click several round edges or round faces at once (Round) - a hole at the centre of each; the
Face is optional (the flat face beside them, the one facing you). - Thread on several faces at once (holes or shafts): a thread on each with the same settings; afterwards each is a
thread of its own. - Apply + opens the next dialog with the same settings (only the picks start empty), in every tool.
Bug fixes
- Delete of a feature that others are built on (a Chamfer on a Fillet's edges) hung, then did nothing: it now asks to
delete those too, as one undo step; No leaves the part as it was. - Thread in a second hole: the click on it (shown as the first thread's preview) was dropped.
InCad 0.11.1
InCad 0.11.1: bug fixes for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3).
macOS: InCad-0.11.1-2026-10-24-a8c63db-macOS-arm64.zip. Install as before (see README.txt in the archive).
Windows: InCad-0.11.1-2026-10-24-a8c63db-Windows-x64.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.
Both archives have the user manual and the presentation for their system (EN, RU).
0.11.1
Work Axis fixes: the axis of a cylinder or a cone, marked points for every Point field, the view turns while points are picked; Hide / Show no longer rebuilds the part.
Bug fixes
- Work Axis > Axis of a cylinder on part of a cylinder (a half ring) or on a cone came out across the part: it took
the face's axis of inertia. It is now the surface's own axis, on a round edge of the face, so it follows the part;
a face that is not round is refused. - Every Point field of Work Plane, Work Axis and Work Point (Two points, Parallel to edge through point, Normal to
plane through point, ...) picked a vertex blind: they now light the part's marked points (corners, edge middles,
circle centres) as soon as they are active, also right after the Method changes. A corner keeps the feature on it;
another marked point fixes it where it is now. - While marked points are shown (Two points, Three points, Section by points) the view turns again with the left
button; only pan worked. - Show All Origin (and every Hide / Show) touched the planes and everything built on them: the whole part was
rebuilt, 10 s on a part with embossed text, and Work Axis lagged after it. A Hide / Show choice now touches nothing,
and work features recompute only themselves while their dialog is open.
InCad 0.11.0
InCad 0.11.0: test build for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3).

Windows: InCad-0.11.0-2026-10-24-0ebacd4-Windows-x64.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.
Both archives have the user manual (gears: chapter 6.17) and the presentation for their system (EN, RU).
0.11.0
Spur Gears and Worm Gear: a pair of gears in mesh, or a worm and its wheel, in one dialog; they turn together in an assembly.
Improvements
- Spur Gears (3D Model > Create, split button with Worm Gear): one dialog makes a pair of gears in mesh, no sketch -
Both gears (module, pressure and helix angle, hand), Gear 1 (teeth, width, bore), Gear 2 sized by teeth, ratio or
centre distance; or One gear. Involute teeth (addendum 1 module, dedendum 1.25). The line under the fields says what
the numbers make: teeth, pitch diameters, ratio, centre distance. Every number is a parameter. - Worm Gear: the worm (axial module, 1-6 starts, pitch diameter, length, hand) and its wheel the same way; the worm's
ends are round (the thread runs out one module before each end). - Place: an Axis (work axis, sketch line, straight edge), a Center (a circle, a corner or a point) or a Plane; nothing
picked: a Solid of its own at the origin, beside the gears already there. Mesh with puts gear 1 (or the worm) in mesh
with a gear already there - a third gear for a pair - and Around it / Around gear 1 turn a gear round its mate. - Gear 1 carries the assembly's gizmo while the dialog is open and whenever a gear of the set is clicked: arrows slide
the pair (whole mm), arcs turn or tilt it (5 degrees); gear 2 always stays in mesh. Double-click a gear to change the
set; deleting the first gear (or the worm) takes the second with it. - Make Assembly puts each gear into a part file of its own and stands it on its own axis (a Rotational joint to a
hidden, grounded Gear Axes): drag the gizmo's arc on a gear and the gears in mesh turn with it by their ratio, a worm
and its wheel too. A part of one piece now makes an assembly of one component (a single gear). - A long dialog scrolls its fields and keeps OK in sight.
Bug fixes
- Section: gears and worms show their cut whole (the cut through a gear's middle was hollow, a worm's in bits), and
every shown Solid of the part gets its cut faces, not only the main one.

0.10.0
Hide / Show / Show All, also in the assembly's tree; files made outside InCad edited like InCad parts; an assembly saved into a folder with its parts; a smaller gizmo that goes out; file tabs reachable.
Improvements
- The assembly gizmo is a third smaller and no longer stays on the part: a click on a part shows it for a couple of
seconds to grab a handle, it stays while a handle is dragged or under the pointer, and then goes out; another click
shows it again. - Save an assembly into a folder of its name: Save (first time) or Save As writes Name/Name.FCStd at the place chosen,
with every part of the assembly (a sub-assembly's too) saved into that folder; the assembly links to the copies, the
files the parts came from stay as they were. Saving again keeps it all there. - Hide, Show and Show All said outright (View ▸ Visual Style ▸ Hide / Show and every right-click menu): Hide and Show
act on the selected solid, assembly part, plane or sketch (a hidden one by its browser row); Show All brings back
every hidden solid of the part, every hidden part of the assembly, with nothing to pick. - Files made outside InCad — a script's or FreeCAD's part, a STEP opened as it is — become InCad parts by themselves
when they come to the front, with every tool: the largest Solid is the main one, a STEP's shapes become Solids where
they are shown. No Convert button to find.
Bug fixes
- Selecting a part of an assembly lit its whole history in the browser and opened it: only the part's own row lights up
now. - A right-click on a part of an assembly picked the object inside the part's own file: that file became the active one
and opened in a tab of its own, and Hide hid the part there — it vanished from the assembly with no row to bring it
back. The right-click now picks the part as the assembly's component: Hide and Show act in the assembly's tree, and
Show on a part's row also brings back a part hidden inside its own file. - A part whose file was made outside InCad (by a script, in FreeCAD), opened from an assembly with a double-click, Edit
or Open, opened as "Not an InCad part": no tools in its tab, and a Solid hidden there could not be brought back. It
now opens as an InCad part (one Solid): the part ribbon, its history in the browser, and Undo or Hide / Show bring
a hidden Solid back. - With many files open (an assembly's parts opened one by one) the tabs past the window's edge could not be reached: the
tab bar now has scroll arrows, long names are cut with …, and the full name shows when the pointer rests on a tab.
InCad v0.9.0
InCad 0.9.0: test build for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3).
macOS: InCad-0.9.0-2026-10-23-d8aae9b-macOS-arm64.zip. Install as before (see README.txt in the archive).
Windows: InCad-0.9.0-2026-10-23-d8aae9b-Windows-x64-UNTESTED.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Work on copies of your files and send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.
Both archives have the user manual and the presentation for their system (EN, RU). What's new in pictures: InCad-whats-new-0.9_en.pdf (English) / InCad-whats-new-0.9_ru.pdf (Russian) — the assembly section of a 20-part engine, a chess pawn from a photo to a coloured part, and every new tool of 0.8 and 0.9.
0.9.0
Section, Interference, Hide / Show and Open in assemblies.
Improvements
- Section in assemblies (View ▸ Visual Style ▸ Section): the cut goes through every shown part the plane meets,
each cut face in its part's colour with its own hatching angle; Offset, Flip and Section by 3 Points work as in a
part. It was refused in an assembly. It also cuts STEPs, shapes from other programs and assemblies made in FreeCAD (their Bodies and shapes);
Interference checks those too. - Interference (Assembly ▸ Analyze ▸ Interference): where parts go into each other, every overlap in bright red over
the parts and a panel with each pair and its volume; parts that only touch are no interference; redrawn as parts move. - Assemblies get Hide / Show too: Show / Hide All Axes (the parts' light centre lines, remembered; a constraint
dialog still shows them for a pick), Show / Hide All Origin and Show / Hide All Sketches. - Right-click a part in an assembly ▸ Open: its file in its own window as a part of its own (Inventor's Open);
Edit still opens it with the assembly around it.
