InCad v0.9.0

InCad 0.9.0: test build for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows 10 / 11 (x64), FreeCAD 1.1 (tested with 1.1.3).

macOS: InCad-0.9.0-2026-10-23-d8aae9b-macOS-arm64.zip. Install as before (see README.txt in the archive).

Windows: InCad-0.9.0-2026-10-23-d8aae9b-Windows-x64-UNTESTED.zip, for FreeCAD 1.1 for Windows. Unzip it, quit FreeCAD and run install.bat (uninstall.bat removes it). Work on copies of your files and send the log (⚙ ▸ Show Log File) with every report.

Both archives have the user manual and the presentation for their system (EN, RU). What's new in pictures: InCad-whats-new-0.9_en.pdf (English) / InCad-whats-new-0.9_ru.pdf (Russian) — the assembly section of a 20-part engine, a chess pawn from a photo to a coloured part, and every new tool of 0.8 and 0.9.

Section, Interference, Hide / Show and Open in assemblies.

Improvements

• Section in assemblies (View ▸ Visual Style ▸ Section): the cut goes through every shown part the plane meets,
  each cut face in its part's colour with its own hatching angle; Offset, Flip and Section by 3 Points work as in a
  part. It was refused in an assembly. It also cuts STEPs, shapes from other programs and assemblies made in FreeCAD (their Bodies and shapes);
  Interference checks those too.
• Interference (Assembly ▸ Analyze ▸ Interference): where parts go into each other, every overlap in bright red over
  the parts and a panel with each pair and its volume; parts that only touch are no interference; redrawn as parts move.
• Assemblies get Hide / Show too: Show / Hide All Axes (the parts' light centre lines, remembered; a constraint
  dialog still shows them for a pick), Show / Hide All Origin and Show / Hide All Sketches.
• Right-click a part in an assembly ▸ Open: its file in its own window as a part of its own (Inventor's Open);
  Edit still opens it with the assembly around it.
