Iker's Tube 1.3.6
Iker's Tube 1.3.6
Iker's Tube is a YouTube client for the Nintendo 3DS family, built on top of FourthTube and ThirdTube (GPLv3).
What's new since 1.3.5
Changes
- Player. A video that cannot be played (private, removed, no connection) opened by autoplay, the queue or Next now says so instead of stopping silently, Play after the retries ran out gets new retries, a stream cut before its end resumes from where it stopped (not from 0:00) when you press Play or A, and changing the comment order on a bad connection keeps the comments you already see.
- Decoder. A failed stream probe is reported, a damaged H.264 packet or missing SPS/PPS can no longer read or write outside its buffer, and a packet is no longer leaked when the stream restart fails.
- Exit. Closing the app while a sign-in check is running no longer frees the sign-in network session twice.
Installing
Install IkersTube.cia with FBI, or run IkersTube.3dsx from the Homebrew Launcher.
The DSP firmware dump (sdmc:/3ds/dspfirm.cdc) is needed for sound.
Built from commit aac7c4e. Install IkersTube.cia with FBI, or run IkersTube.3dsx from the Homebrew Launcher.
Iker's Tube 1.3.5

Iker's Tube is a YouTube client for the Nintendo 3DS family, built on top of FourthTube and ThirdTube (GPLv3).
What's new since 1.3.4
Changes
- Settings. The "updates available" text is written under the same lock the screen reads it with, so the version shown in the Update tab cannot be garbled while a check finishes.

Changes
- Channel page. It keeps only the 8 most recent channels in memory instead of every channel opened, which saves memory on long sessions.
- Account actions. When Like, Subscribe, Comment or a playlist change fails on your YouTube account, the notice gives a short reason (sign in again, too many requests, YouTube busy, check the connection) instead of raw technical text.
- Library. The long-press menu shows "Remove from queue" for a video that is already queued, like the other menus do, instead of an "Add to queue" that silently removed it.
- Favorites and Watch later. "Remove the watched ones" (both lists) and "Clear Watch later" save the list once instead of once per video, so they no longer freeze on a long list.
- Comments. Reply checks that the comments are loaded before it opens the keyboard, so a reply you typed is not lost to an "Open the comments first" failure.
- Library. The confirm buttons of "Clear all favorites" and "Clear Watch later" show how many videos will go (the whole list is cleared even when a filter is on).
- Channel page. Tapping the error line of a channel no longer freezes the console, a failed Streams or Shorts tab can be retried with a tap, B on the QR popup only closes it, and a community post image without a size no longer crashes.
- Settings. B on a popup (install, remove history, sign-in code) only closes the popup instead of also leaving Settings.
- Saving. A save that cannot be flushed to the SD card (full card) is reported as failed, so the previous copy of history, subscriptions or settings is kept instead of being replaced by a cut file.
- History. It keeps the latest 3000 videos, and the "hide watched" marks no longer miss a video you just watched.
- Text. The "Saved for offline viewing" notice and the log no longer cut an accented letter or emoji in half. Titles and chat messages with emoji, escaped quotes or accents are decoded correctly in Watch later pulls, Studio answers, live chat and collaborations.
- Video info. The dislike count no longer repeats the like count.
- Studio login. The refresh token and the client are saved through a temporary file, so a full card or a power loss while signing in no longer signs you out.
- Studio login. The code check slows down when Google asks for it, and "Clear all resume positions" also removes a leftover temporary file that could bring them back.
- Live chat. Closing and reopening the chat of the same video no longer restarts a healthy chat because an old thread ended late.
- Small fixes. Counts near a million or a billion print as 1.0M / 1.0B instead of 1000.0k, a pasted playlist link with strange characters no longer breaks the request, and History > Shuffle gives a different order after each start.
- Search. Changing a search filter while a search is loading no longer risks a crash, and closing the app while a search or channel is loading no longer touches deleted views.
- Search. A pasted or scanned YouTube results link now runs that search, and tapping the search box while a search is loading says so instead of doing nothing.
- Long texts. Long labels in the menus, the Filter row of Search and the "Most watched" line of Settings are cut to fit instead of running past their space.

Iker's Tube 1.3.3
Iker's Tube is a YouTube client for the Nintendo 3DS family, built on top of FourthTube and ThirdTube (GPLv3).
What's new since 1.3.2
Changes
- Dialogs and menus. A dialog or menu swallows every button while it is open (B that dismisses "Exit?" no longer also leaves the screen, the d-pad no longer seeks under the video menu), a tap outside the More menu only closes it, the More menu always fits on the screen, and a second notice waits until the first has been readable for a second.
- Channel menu. Subscribing or unsubscribing from the long-press channel menu is saved right away.
- New videos badge. The feed no longer marks everything as new after a first run with an empty feed, and its list is saved safely.
- Badges and My Wrapped. Night owl and Early bird need at least 20 videos and a real favorite hour, and the streaks in My Wrapped count local days like the badges do.
- Privacy and saves. QR links are not written to the shared links file in incognito, and the last played video is saved through a temporary file.
- Trailer. The website has the new trailer in the Look section, and tools/make_trailer.py builds it (English and Spanish).
- Library. The list keeps its scroll position after a dialog action, a sort or a filter, and the filter labels are cut to their buttons.
- Channel page. It no longer lets you subscribe to a channel that failed to load, and a sort asked on one channel is not applied to the next.
- Player. Popups take every button while they are open (B that closes the Info or Controls popup no longer leaves the player, A no longer pauses under it), a drag along the mini player bar seeks instead of restarting or skipping, the speed bar updates the speed button, "stop after this video" does not leak to the next video, Loop chapter only works for the playing video, and long Spanish labels fit their buttons.

Iker's Tube 1.3.2
Iker's Tube 1.3.2
Iker's Tube is a YouTube client for the Nintendo 3DS family, built on top of FourthTube and ThirdTube (GPLv3).
What's new since 1.3.1
Changes
- Updater. A release tagged -dev is never taken for a stable one, even if GitHub's prerelease flag is missing.
- Sign-in. Token renewals run one at a time, a failed renewal is not repeated for 30 seconds, the profile is not downloaded again at every renewal, the saved token file is checked for its full size, and an empty answer from YouTube counts as done for account actions.
- Lists. Favorites and Watch later drop duplicated videos when read and cut very long titles, and an empty filtered list says "Nothing matches the filter" instead of "you have none".
- Saved videos. Deleting a saved video that is in use says so instead of pretending it worked.
- Fixes. All yes / no settings are clamped when read, and file sizes over 2 GB in the file browser no longer turn negative.
- Search. A pasted video address (including youtu.be share links) opens the video, a filter change keeps the Shorts or Radio feed a feed, and a search text with %0 or %1 is no longer altered.
- Live chat. Switching between Top and All chat shows messages again, and the chat stops polling when the stream or its chat is over.
- SponsorBlock and translation. SponsorBlock never seeks past the end of a video and its marks are hidden when it is off, and long text is cut on letter boundaries before translating.

Iker's Tube 1.3.1
Iker's Tube 1.3.1
Iker's Tube is a YouTube client for the Nintendo 3DS family, built on top of FourthTube and ThirdTube (GPLv3).
What's new since 1.3.0
Changes
- Account safety. Subscribe, like and comment actions no longer report success when YouTube refused them (spaces in the answer, empty or HTML answers), a refresh that fails for a passing reason keeps you signed in, and the sign-in file is saved through a temporary file so a power loss cannot empty it.
- Updater. It looks at the 30 newest releases (a stable could fall out of the first 10), a tag with -dev is always a devbuild, and it never installs by itself while a video plays.
- Autoplay setting saves. The Autoplay choice is written right away.
- Readable accent text. Coloured text keeps a good contrast on every theme, light or dark, long channel names and handles are cut before the Subscribe button, and the switch knob and slider handle are readable on every accent.
- Faster text measuring. Measuring a label no longer allocates memory every time.
- Renewed tokens everywhere. The sign-in token is renewed before any request that needs it, not only when the home page loads, so the feed, Watch later and the library keep working in long sessions.
- Clearer network errors. A busy or broken YouTube answer (429, 5xx) is reported as such ("YouTube is busy", "YouTube had a problem") instead of a parsing error, and a failing live segment is not asked again in a tight loop.
- Smoother lists. Cut channel lines and measured labels are remembered, so scrolling and drawing use less CPU.
- Settings loading. Yes / no settings are clamped to 0 or 1 when read, and the boot screen stays alive and waits less while Wi-Fi connects.
- Website. Real screenshots of the new interface, keyboard focus kept on filter chips, translated labels for screen readers, better contrast and printing, and a clear message when there are no releases yet.

Iker's Tube 1.3.0
Iker's Tube 1.3.0
Iker's Tube is a YouTube client for the Nintendo 3DS family, built on top of FourthTube and ThirdTube (GPLv3).
What's new since 1.2.1
Changes
- Video quality fixed. If the wanted quality does not exist the closest one is used (the New 3DS used to fall to 144p), the muxed 360p no longer replaces the real 360p stream, only qualities that can play are listed (the old 3DS family only the low ones), a quality picked by hand is not lowered by the data saver for that video, and a quick second change keeps the position.
- Quality shortcuts. A Quality tool in the General tab of the player cycles the quality with one tap, Settings has a Video quality row, and the quality row of the player is taller.
- Audio tracks. The audio language search asks YouTube like the video page does and says plainly when YouTube did not answer.
- Touch fixes. Selector rows react on every button, sliders keep their drag instead of scrolling the page, a finger that slides out of a list cancels the press, the info icons and tab bars react where they are drawn, and a tap that moves a few pixels is not taken as a scroll.
- Back button. B closes a popup in Library and History without also leaving the screen.
- Tidier labels. Tabs, selector buttons and the bottom bar use a smaller font when a label is long (Spanish, German, ...), and the settings buttons are full-width cards like the rest.
- Translations. 80 more texts in French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Japanese.
- Data safety. The history keeps its durations after a restart, full-card writes no longer replace good lists (watch later, bookmarks, resume points, searches), the backup keeps the previous copy as *.prev, empty setting values use their default, and safe mode needs two unfinished starts in a row.
- Playback. A stream that dies long before the end no longer counts as watched (the resume point and watch later stay), pausing while a video is still opening no longer desyncs, every new video has its own retries, a failed decoder start can no longer crash, and a lock at the live edge of live streams is balanced.
- Home, channels and downloads. Home retry keeps its place and reloads the first page, the account feed shows its errors and a tap tries again, a channel line with an error retries when tapped, a feed refresh no longer re-subscribes channels you just left, cancelling downloads also drops the queued saves, and a full SD card is noticed when a download ends.
- Thumbnails. Busy-server answers are retried and bad cached pictures are dropped.
