All packages are for x86_64 / amd64. The same package supports X11 and Wayland; separate desktop builds are not needed.

X11 and Wayland
X11 is the default backend, including XWayland when launched in a Wayland session. For native Wayland, fully quit Figma first, then run:
FIGMA_USE_WAYLAND=1 FIGMA_RENDERER=software ./figma-desktop-126.10.10-amd64.AppImageRemove FIGMA_USE_X11=1 from your environment before selecting native Wayland. If canvas rendering fails with the default renderer, try FIGMA_RENDERER=software. The same environment variables work with the installed figma-desktop launcher.
Validation and known limitations
- 62 automated tests passed. The full AppImage, deb and rpm build paths passed; native package ownership and modes were inspected.
- AppImage application content was tested on Ubuntu 24.04.5 / GNOME 46: X11 with automatic SwiftShader, native Wayland with software rendering, and XWayland with software rendering. Canvas, local fonts, input, resize/maximize and saved login after a controlled process restart were checked. The rebuilt release contains the same
app.asarand Electron executable as that tested build. - Default/automatic rendering on the tested Wayland setup still failed canvas/WebGL checks; use the software renderer workaround. Direct NVIDIA hardware rendering was not validated.
- Full process exit through the application's Quit command remains unconfirmed; the restart checks used controlled process termination after saving work. Fresh browser sign-in/logout was not repeated for this release.
- deb/rpm clean installation, upgrade and runtime on their target distributions remain unverified. Fedora/Mesa (#23), cloud font weight handling (#15), MCP (#19), drag-and-drop (#12), pinch zoom (#11) and the Wayland tab strip issue (#29) are not claimed fixed.
