What's new

• Chat with Apple Intelligence: on macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence on, Infinity can answer with Apple's built-in model. Free, private, nothing to download, and it's picked for you if nothing else is set up.
• Assistants that look things up: with Apple Intelligence, assistants can now search the web, check the weather (from Open-Meteo, no account needed), remember things you ask them to, and run automations that fetch fresh results every time. Without tools, they say so instead of making things up. "Try again" now redoes the request that failed.
• Keep typing while it answers: Return queues your next message; ⌘Return steers an answer or Code step that's still working. Queued messages can be sent now, edited or removed.
• Code: attach screenshots and files; one-click git (push, pull, pull requests, merge); three access levels (Ask before commands, Auto, Full auto); clearer names (Publish, Keep changes); a composer that fits narrow panes.
• Errors that say what to do: offline, a key that's not accepted, out of credit, rate limits, a retired model or a chat that's too long now each get a plain explanation and a next step.
• Safer data: Code projects and assistants are backed up daily like chats, and a file that can't be read is kept, never overwritten.
• Better first answers: small models on your Mac give plain answers instead of garbled charts, a reply that starts repeating itself is stopped, and setup says what to expect from each model size.
• Help: Help ▸ Infinity Help (⌘?) has guides for every part of the app, offline. Terms of Use and Acknowledgements are in the Help menu and the About window.

• Opens again: 0.1.3 quit as soon as it opened on Macs that hadn't built it themselves. This version fixes that; if you have 0.1.3, download this one once and updates take care of themselves from here.
• Apple Intelligence, checked properly: Infinity tells "off" apart from "still downloading", and notices by itself when Image Playground is ready.
• No more cut-off text: buttons always show their whole label, and descriptions wrap instead of ending in "…".

• Hugging Face: add your token to chat with open models in the cloud, make images and transcribe audio with them.
• MLX LM and vLLM: run models on Apple silicon with one click to install, download and start, plus Jan, llama.cpp, GPT4All and other apps Infinity finds on your Mac.
• Find models: browse Hugging Face by task, size and app, with logos, tags like "Made for text to speech" and "Thinks first", which jobs each model suits, and whether it fits this Mac. It now lives inside Models by job, and every job links to models for it.
• A first run you learn by doing: pick your models, then start from a real first chat; short tips appear the first time each feature helps.
• Tap to answer: when an answer ends with a question and a few options, they become buttons, and every question card has Other… for your own answer.
• Sign-ins inside Infinity: Codex and GitHub sign in without a terminal window, and Infinity opens the terminal you actually use when one is needed.
• Crash reports you control: after a crash, Infinity offers an email with the report attached; nothing is sent unless you press Send.
• Fixes: Reset and restart, updates when the app can't be replaced, answers interrupted by quitting, chats titled "", Macs without a microphone, Intel Macs and Macs without Apple Intelligence, and many smaller things.
