Fixed
Reject Byron addresses whose CBOR wrapper uses a tag other than the required tag 24, making decoding consistent with the Cardano ledger
Cardano.Address.fromBech32 now validates the human-readable prefix against the payload, rejecting non-address prefixes (e.g. stake, drep) and an addr/addr_test prefix inconsistent with the payload's network tag
Reject RequireSomeOf 0 scripts (i.e. at_least 0) as LedgerIncompatible, as such a script is trivially satisfiable (fund-loss guard)
Reject script and cosigner# numbers outside the Int range instead of silently truncating them, e.g. at_least 256 is no longer wrapped to 0
key hash and script validate now exit with a non-zero status when the input cannot be processed: script hash reports a NotUniformKeyType error on stderr instead of exiting 0, and script validate does the same for Not validated: ... failures
Added
key inspect accepts raw base16 and base58 input as well as non-extended keys, and now inspects key hashes and governance credentials
New script inspect command that inspects script hashes and governance script credentials; it accepts bech32, base16 and base58 input
address inspect now reports human-readable address and network names
key hash, address payment, address stake and address bootstrap accept raw base16 and base58 input in addition to bech32; a raw 28-byte value is rejected as ambiguous because it may be a key hash or a script hash
script hash, script preimage and script validate read the script from stdin when the script argument is omitted
Errors on unparsable stdin are now unambiguous: they clearly state the accepted encodings (bech32, base16 and base58), and key inspect / script inspect surface the underlying Bech32 error instead of a generic message
Enriched command-line help: standardized group help text and leaf commands documented with usage details and examples, backed by help-content tests. The documentation front page now highlights the exposed features.
Security
Remediated advisories in the documentation toolchain:
braces stack-exhaustion DoS in the recursive AST walkers (GHSA-vfj7-8cjw-p6xm / CVE-2026-93687) — no upstream fix exists, so a patch-package patch bounds the AST nesting depth
