Siesta 1.4.3
Chart navigation. Pinch on the trackpad or use the mouse wheel over the plot to zoom around the point under the cursor, from one minute up to the automatic view; the point stays where it is while you zoom. Scroll sideways with two fingers, or drag the plot, to move back and forth in time, never beyond the recorded history. When "now" leaves the view a chevron at the right edge brings it back, and one at the left edge jumps to the start of the history, both keeping the current zoom; they highlight on hover. Reset, or a double-click on the plot, returns to the automatic view; zooming back out to it does the same. Jumps and Reset glide to their destination. A zoomed view whose right edge "now" reaches starts following it, as the automatic view does.
Axis and readings. Time labels run from the start of the view on the left to "Now" on the right, evenly spread, never closer than a minute and with seconds for views under two minutes; labels step aside from the hovered time. Hover readings always refer to a point inside the view.
Panel. The activity log starts collapsed in both the popover and the window, and both the chart and the log remember how you last left them.
Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.4.2
Pauses now start at the top of the minute in which the work minutes complete and rests last exactly the set minutes, so "Next pause at" and "Resumes at" show exact times. The work progress bar runs to the planned pause and eases, including its drop back to zero. Chart axis: start time at the left, Now at the right, evenly spread labels never closer than a minute. Typing in the minute fields no longer affects the cycle until the value is confirmed. Narrower detached window. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.4.1
Chart: hover over the plot to read the CPU and temperature of any moment, with the time centred under the cursor; time labels only in the past; CPU shown as a share of the whole Mac. Dark mode colours tuned for readability. Consistent hover states and borders across buttons, fields, checkbox and the log box, with a short easing; Quit turns red on hover. Arrow keys documented in the README. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.4.0
New CPU & temperature chart in the panel: the encoder's CPU share and the hottest CPU die, sampled every second for the first five minutes and every five seconds afterwards, with rest periods shaded; the time window grows from 5 minutes to 6 hours and then slides. The chart folds with a chevron and shows the live values in its header when folded. HandBrake is considered idle only after 10 seconds of low CPU, so the gap between queue items no longer shows up in the log. The activity log chevron follows the same convention. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.3.5
The app icon now ships with light and dark variants: on macOS 26 and later the Dock, Finder and Launchpad show the dark artwork in Dark appearance. Older systems keep the single icon. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.3.4
The panel status icon keeps its real colour inside the popover (no vibrancy blending). The new-release dialog comes back at the next launch after Later, once per launch. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.3.3
The update dialog shows the app artwork matching the current appearance; the panel status icon follows appearance changes while the panel is open. Slightly wider popover so the footer never truncates. Icon Composer package added for a light/dark app icon on macOS 26 (compiled when Xcode is available). Images optimized losslessly. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.3.2
A dialog announces a new release once, with an Update now button; the in-app update shows a plain Updating… label and the link tooltip explains that it installs in place. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.3.1
New cat icons for the four states (stopped, working, resting, waiting) in the menu bar and in the panel, sized like the neighbouring menu bar icons. README gains an at-a-glance overview of the states. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
Siesta 1.3.0
In-app updates: when a newer release exists, the Update link downloads it, verifies its SHA-256 checksum, replaces the app in place and relaunches. Because the new bundle is written by Siesta itself it carries no quarantine flag, so macOS does not ask for approval again: only the very first installation needs it. Also: hand cursor on links, ↑/↓ step the minute fields (Shift for 10), the popover arrow stays centred on the status icon and glides when the menu bar shifts. Universal binary, macOS 13 or later.
