StoryShape 0.1.20 beta (build 21)

A free, local-first Mac beta for Apple-silicon Macs. When this version was published, Mac source was available under Apache License 2.0. Those grants remain in force. The iPad app remains a separate, closed-source development build.

This update turns the Wonderland sample into an editable Chapter I tour: five scenes, a connected plot, movable Board notes, source-linked Wiki entries, revision examples, and a five-stop map journey. Lewis Carroll's original chapter is retained in the project; the planning and World material are illustrative additions.

Write supports two editable scenes side by side, page and pageless views with zoom and margins, a refined focus mode, and the warm StoryShape Premium theme. Revise adds scene markup and numbered passes. World adds named connections with automatic and saved arrangements, plus a map available while writing or planning.

Download the DMG, open it, and drag StoryShape to Applications. The ZIP contains the same signed Mac app and is used by the app's manual update check. StoryShape does not check automatically at startup. The DMG and app have been signed, notarized, and stapled by Apple. This build also corrects the bundled Sparkle license attribution.

Beta caution: Keep independent backups of important writing. Native macOS 14 GUI testing, 16 GB hardware testing, broader input/accessibility checks, and an independent writer pilot remain open. The Mac App Store and iPadOS editions are still in development.
