Changed

• The STE pane shows each answer rewritten as an ASD-STE100 document, not the same text as the transcript. After each answer, a small model (haiku) rewrites it with a title, headings, short paragraphs, one idea in each sentence, numbered steps and signal words. Use /asd auto [on|off].
• The pane header shows the STE check score of the text in view.
• New pane key o shows the original answer. r rewrites the answer again.
• Code names show without backticks in the pane.

Fixed

• The STE pane could not draw an answer with the word "constructor". The linter looked up words in a plain object, so "constructor", "toString" and other built-in property names matched as unapproved words. The linter now checks only its own word list.

• The STE directive no longer shows in your prompt. STE mode now adds the STE rules to the system prompt. Your prompt stays as you typed it.
• The STE pane shows an error message when it cannot draw an answer, not an empty pane.

• STE mode is on by default. Answers are written in 80% ASD-STE100 without /asd on. Use /asd off to turn it off.
• The STE pane opens after each answer. For an answer that is not in STE, press r to rewrite it. Use /asd pane off to open the pane only with /asd pane.

If you ran /asd off (or /ste off) before, that saved state still applies. Run /asd on once.

Releases now use the date and a build number. This is build 3 of 2026-10-02 (2026.10.3 was build 2).

Added

• STE pane: after an answer in ASD-STE100, a pane beside the transcript shows the answer as an STE document:
  • one sentence on each line, with the word count in red when a sentence is too long
  • numbered lines as procedure steps
  • WARNING, CAUTION and NOTE as signal blocks
  • unapproved words in red, with the approved word (utilize →USE)
• Pane keys: v view, c check (score and findings), r rewrite an answer that is not in STE, x close.
• /ste pane opens the pane. /ste pane off stops it from opening by itself.

Removed

• The STE sheet above the prompt and /ste sheet. The score and findings are now in the pane's check tab.

Fixed

• The STE version could come out in a wrong language (for example Bengali for an English answer). The rewrite and the session record now name the language from the script of the text.
• Grid and table lines stay straight with Korean, Chinese and Japanese text. The pane now measures text in terminal cells.

Added

• STE session record: /asd session writes a record of the whole session as an ASD-STE100 document in the STE pane (key s, and g to write it): Purpose, Decisions, Completed work, Open items, in the language of the conversation. /asd session lite uses a small model. It runs only on request, as it uses tokens.
• Skill: writes in the user's language, uses the same document structure as the pane, and describes session records.

Fixed

• /asd 80 and /asd strict change only the mode. They also turned on STE mode, so the answer itself came out in STE and the pane's STE version showed almost the same text. Only /asd on turns on STE mode now.

If the status line shows STE [...]: Active and you did not want it, run /asd off once.
