Learn about vigilant mode.

3.18.1 — simpler README and first-run guide, one docs index, internal notes archived, bug report form; dashboard: readable Today strip on phones (#236), decluttered daily plan card (#239).

Pair: controller 3.18.1. C1: documentation and two dashboard display fixes. The controller, engine, integration runtime, entities, add-on options and persisted state are unchanged; the dashboard bundle changes only how two screens are drawn. Approved rehearsal, no staging soak: the owner approved releasing and promoting this candidate on 2026-10-27, and on 2026-10-28 approved including the two dashboard display fixes (docs/RELEASING.md step 5, approved-rehearsal). No staging photoperiod and no visual check on a staging room is claimed.

🌱 In plain English

  • Readable Today strip on a phone. Each watering (the dashboard calls it a shot) is a thin tick on a phone instead of a pile of pills, and the hour labels no longer overlap the "now" marker.
  • A tidier daily plan card. The chart key keeps Recorded, Target and Draft; the rest is explained in the workings, and the phase table folds in with them.
  • Simpler documentation. A shorter README and first-run guide, one documentation index, internal notes moved to an archive, and a bug report form on GitHub.
  • Nothing else changes on your box. Updating changes no setting and no watering behaviour.
