First firmware release for the AZ-Delivery ESP32 D1 Mini using an ESP32-WROOM-32 module.

Board configuration

  • Original ESP32 target
  • 4 MB flash
  • DIO flash mode at 40 MHz
  • 240 MHz CPU
  • No PSRAM required

Flashing

Erase the board, then flash the merged image at offset 0x0:

python -m esptool --chip esp32 --port COM4 --baud 460800 erase_flash
python -m esptool --chip esp32 --port COM4 --baud 460800 write_flash 0x0 ps5-webkit-autoloader.az-delivery-d1-mini-esp32.merged.bin

Replace COM4 with the board's serial port. If automatic reset does not enter download mode, hold BOOT, tap RESET, start flashing, and release BOOT.

The clean GitHub Actions build completed successfully. Verify the download against SHA256SUMS.txt.

Hardware validation

Confirmed working by JavaScript-X on an AZ-Delivery ESP32 D1 Mini with an ESP32-WROOM-32 module (ESP32-D0WD-V3 revision 3.1). Flash writing and verification completed successfully; the board boots, creates ESP32_PORTAL, and serves the autoloader page at http://192.168.4.1/.
