v0.1.4

@Jeff909Dev Jeff909Dev released this 20 Oct 17:26

Fix: when the menu bar item was hidden because the menu bar was full, the help window said it was turned off in System Settings, where it was already allowed. On a Mac with a notch, macOS hides the items that don't fit next to the open app's menus, newest first. The window now names both causes and what to do: hide some items, or ⌘-drag Claude Usage next to the clock.

Install or update:

curl -fsSL https://claude-code-usage.vercel.app/install.sh | bash

v0.1.3

@Jeff909Dev Jeff909Dev released this 05 Oct 16:42

Fix: the menu bar item could stay hidden on macOS 26 after the app had once been started from a terminal (Control Center filed it under that terminal). This version has a new bundle identifier, so macOS registers the item to the app itself.

You may need to allow notifications and Launch at login again. Accounts and data are kept.

Install or update:

curl -fsSL https://claude-code-usage.vercel.app/install.sh | bash

@Jeff909Dev Jeff909Dev released this 05 Oct 15:58

Fixes

  • The app no longer quits silently when macOS hides its menu bar item. The menu bar item is now a regular AppKit status item, and if macOS blocks it, a small window explains how to allow it (System Settings › Menu Bar) with a "Show again" button.
  • App icon.

Install or update:

curl -fsSL https://claude-code-usage.vercel.app/install.sh | bash

v0.1.1

@Jeff909Dev Jeff909Dev released this 02 Oct 08:07

Fixes

  • The popover no longer opens collapsed (only header and footer): it now has a fixed height and scrolls inside.

  • New one-line install that opens without the Gatekeeper block:

    curl -fsSL https://claude-code-usage.vercel.app/install.sh | bash

    (or download ClaudeUsage.zip and use System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway)

  • release.sh can sign with a Developer ID, notarize and staple when configured.

@Jeff909Dev Jeff909Dev released this 02 Oct 01:15

First release.

Install: download ClaudeUsage.zip, unzip, move Claude Usage.app to /Applications. The app is ad-hoc signed, not notarized: on macOS 15+ open it once, then go to System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway — or run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Claude Usage.app" first.

Requires: macOS 14+ and Claude Code installed.

Before using Use in terminal on your main account, run the Manual QA list in the README (try it on a disposable account first; recovery is claude auth login).
