Optimisarr 0.2.25 improves soundtrack assessment and adds experimental per-soundtrack bitrate selection. Duplicate scanning, Personal quality check and everyday library controls are clearer to use.
What's new
- Choose smaller soundtracks individually. Experimental per-soundtrack bitrate selection samples AAC, Opus or MP3 and chooses the smallest tested bitrate that meets your configured limit. It starts off. If assessment is unavailable, the job keeps the library bitrate; the final soundtrack gate still judges the finished file.
- Assess more real-world audio safely. Soundtrack checks handle FLAC duration statistics, near-start Opus audio, small audio offsets, decoded lossy peaks and supported stereo downmixes. Unknown or conflicting evidence still refuses assessment.
- Keep your place in Personal quality check. Keyboard focus follows preparation, comparison and results. The next unrated sample takes you to its rating controls, errors and a successful Apply are announced, and a playback failure offers another check. Large remote checks no longer stall a worker.
- See duplicate scans advance through large files. Find duplicates progress follows the bytes read and starts with the actual candidate totals. Cancelling part-way counts only what was read.
- Handle everyday work in fewer steps. Bulk actions cover queue jobs, candidates and inventory, with per-file failures retained. The theme can follow your system, and Simplified Chinese wording is improved.
Smoother and safer
- Replacement confirmations stay on the page, with visible refusal reasons and retry or cancel actions, instead of relying on browser pop-ups.
- Originals remain protected by verification and recorded replacement/rollback safeguards.
Before you update
- Back up your configuration, then update the server and your sidecars together. Drain each worker and let its current jobs finish before upgrading; its pairing and settings are kept.
- Soundtrack jobs that use the new verification preparation need protocol 14. Older workers cannot claim those jobs, so worker-only work may wait until an updated worker is available.
Good to know
- Per-soundtrack bitrate selection is experimental and starts off. Existing libraries keep their settings unless you opt in.
- A Mac sidecar that has no working capacity now says Waiting for capacity and suggests checking the work folder and memory pressure.
- The Windows MSI and matching updater are unsigned Windows previews. The Mac downloads are Developer ID signed, notarized and stapled.
Thanks
Thank you to @arbaleast for the Simplified Chinese corrections, system-theme support and bulk actions (#446, #449, #451), and to @balfourwong for the replacement-confirmation improvements (#463).
Thanks also to @leisegang (#458) and @skeketo (#454) for detailed reports. They led to the Mac capacity guidance and a new video-shift diagnostic in this release; both investigations continue.
The release qualification record records the tested platforms, package checks and coverage limits.
