Release list
Qrazy 0.5.7
Added
• The Tab information overlay now shows Hook record cards (PQL and VQL) next to Weapons and Strafe.
Qrazy 0.5.6
Added
• Steam sign-in opens in your normal browser and signs the game in automatically when you finish. Windows and Linux (new on Linux).
• Console command /pacingdump copies recent frame-pacing details to the clipboard, to help diagnose frame rate problems.
Fixed
• Attempt to fix the frame rate sometimes staying stuck at a low value (around 130 fps) until you Alt+Tab. Windows: the frame limiter now follows the game's active graphics context. Linux: pacing now re-syncs on load and focus, and when painting falls well short of the target. Not yet confirmed.
Qrazy 0.5.5
Added
• The Tab information overlay now shows the current time in its bottom-right corner.
Changed
• The "Loading — please wait" card at the bottom of the screen is no longer shown while the game loads a map or assets.
• Update messages now show your installed version (for example "No newer release is available (installed runtime: 0.5.4)").
Fixed
• Windows: if installing an update fails, Qrazy now shows a short reason in the error message so it can be reported.
Qrazy 0.5.4
Changed
• Linux: with VSync off, the client now uses its own frame timing and a smaller garbage-collection pause, and the FPS counter shows frames actually shown. Set VSync with r_swapinterval and restart Qrazy; Maximum FPS (com_maxfps) is available too. VSync on is unchanged. If Qrazy closes unexpectedly with VSync off, VSync is turned back on at the next start.
• The Tab overlay no longer shows YOU and WATCHING text, so the top cards and player rows keep the same height when the highlight moves. The highlighted background remains.
Fixed
• The game view could stay blurry or at the wrong refresh rate after moving Qrazy to another monitor or changing display scaling; it now refreshes itself.
• Spectating no longer pulls Qrazy to the front when the game re-locks the mouse while the window is in the background.
Qrazy 0.5.3
Changed
• Windows: the game view now runs on its own processing thread, separate from the client window. In theory this should be better for input lag.
Fixed
• Windows: files saved from the game (configs, demos, HUD exports) now get the right file extension even when you type a name without one.
Qrazy 0.5.2
Changed
• Windows: file pickers opened by the game (such as for custom models) now show the file types the game asks for, instead of only image files.
Qrazy 0.5.1
Added
• The information overlay shows the time on the current map next to the session time.
• Qrazy can now show a short message from the developers in the menu when something needs your attention, such as a reinstall.
Changed
• Windows: client updates now also replace the launcher (Qrazy.exe), so launcher fixes reach you without a manual reinstall.
Fixed
• Windows: fixed Qrazy refusing to start with "Qrazy runtime verification failed", most often on the second launch.
• Windows: the installer now works when you reinstall into the same folder after uninstalling. Your saved profile is kept.
Qrazy 0.5.0
Changed
• Windows: the game view is now drawn directly by CEF, the embedded Chromium engine, inside the Qrazy window, replacing the separate copy-and-redraw step the old view used. Mouse look uses raw, unaccelerated input, and with VSync on the frame rate follows the monitor the window is on (Maximum FPS applies with VSync off). If the window cannot be created, Qrazy shows an error asking you to report it.
Qrazy 0.4.8
Changed
• Downloads now have stable names, so permanent links always give the newest Windows ZIP, Windows installer and Linux AppImage.
• The Tab overlay shows all players under a single column header, with less prominent YOU and WATCHING badges and highlights.
Qrazy 0.4.7
Added
• Windows: spray slots can now open a file picker to choose an image (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP or BMP).
