Seems to be a problem caused by the additional dependency in the new version of fluent on System.Net.Http nuget package and building under mono.

From playing around with this it seems like it all works under windows, or under linux if the unit tests target framework is lowered to net471.

Not urgent to upgrade though and don't really want to fall back to an older version of .Net framework so will leave this for now. At some point it needs looking at further.
