I am considering using Zarr in a situation where I want to modify chunks of a large compressed array. In this situation I intend to use multi-threading to speed up the modification process where no two threads ever read/write to the same compressed chunk. Is this possible with the current state of Zarr.jl as I know it currently isn't possible with HDF5.jl without the use of locks for chunk read/write?
I note this is similar to the discussion (#125 (comment)) but the accepted answer didn't make it clear if this thread safe compression has been implemented.
