Foliuna Android 0.1.0-preview.2
Debug-signed testing preview for Android 8.0+ (API 26), targeting Android 16 (API 36). Separate app identity: io.github.justypixels.foliuna.preview. The existing Windows release remains available.
This update adds full-page post details, immersive system fullscreen, swipe navigation, aligned bottom navigation icons, a custom video player and legacy-WebView thumbnail sizing. The fictional offline demo has been removed.
Includes eight booru connections and compatible custom Danbooru/Gelbooru sites, native paced networking, Android Keystore credentials, tag search, media details/fullscreen, explicit downloads, SHA-256 deduplication, offline Gallery, Collections and portable export.
Install and backup
Download Foliuna-Android-0.1.0-preview.2-debug.apk and compare its SHA-256 with SHA256SUMS.txt. Android may request permission to install from the app opening the file; follow current Android installation/developer verification guidance. This is a debug-signed preview, not a production or Play release.
Export before uninstalling, clearing storage or changing signing identity: these can remove your private archive. Use Settings → Export library… and retain the complete completed folder, including .foliuna/collections.json and media sidecars. Windows can rebuild Gallery and Collections by choosing that folder and importing sidecars. Credentials and private settings are excluded.
Downloads run only while Foliuna is foreground. Flash, floating windows, background transfers, incoming Android libraries and synchronization are deferred. Device codec support varies.
Actual verification
- Final local API 26 phone and API 36 tablet: 10 tests each, zero failures/skips, covering native validation/encryption/pacing, downloads/deduplication/recovery, offline membership, WebView restrictions, Back/rotation/keyboard, GIF/video and destination-picker export. Android lint: zero errors.
- Native snapshots and actual folder-picker exports from both APIs reconstructed categorized tags, immutable source history, deduplication and Collections with the unchanged Windows importer and no network requests.
- Windows: 246 unit/component tests, 8 desktop journeys, verified installer/ZIP and hardened packaged-app smoke checks.
- GitHub independently passed Android API 26/36 and Windows; website checks cover project paths and phone/tablet/desktop layouts.
- An earlier build passed 9 tests on an authorized Moto g14 (API 34, ARM64, WebView 155); its automatic destination-selection test was intentionally skipped. The phone was unavailable for a final-candidate reinstall. No real keys or personal library were used.
