Text DIFF VIEW: HUNK-Level Merge

Version 4.6.0 introduces bidirectional HUNK-level copying in Text DIFF VIEW, extending DIM from text difference inspection to controlled text merging.

  • Bidirectional copying: Transfer individual difference blocks from Source to Target or Target to Source using the HUNK controls.
  • Undo: After a copy operation, the corresponding control switches to Undo until the changes are saved.
  • Save: Save modified text files directly from DIFF VIEW.
  • Whitespace inspection: View spaces, tabs, line-ending markers and EOF markers to distinguish otherwise subtle differences.
  • Font settings: Select the text DIFF font family and font size.
  • Display refinements: Improved scrolling synchronization, text rendering and code cleanup.

Text DIFF VIEW with HUNK merge controls

Scope

Text merging is available in Text DIFF VIEW. Image, animated GIF, video and audio DIFF VIEW modes remain comparison-only. Existing folder comparison, synchronization, Scoped Grep and Git difftool workflows remain available.
