v0.20.0 — MCP tools and Studio skills

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 08 Nov 14:26
2adb336

H3 Continuity Studio now exposes its saved projects and existing skill pack to AI agents through a standalone MCP adapter.

  • 21 typed tools cover native and managed projects, render planning/submission, Story and still proposals, takes, saved versions/checkpoints, generation transfer and inspection.
  • The seven canonical host skills are served through the MCP Skills extension and ordinary resources.
  • Native execution uses captured API snapshots, exact JSON documents and durable receipts to avoid duplicate work after uncertain replies. Existing revisions, checkpoint and render-ownership guards remain in force.
  • README and the Automation guide include Codex/Claude Code setup, separate uv/venv installation, Windows paths, local/remote URLs, bearer environment variables and recovery instructions.

Update the custom node on the Studio host and restart ComfyUI when convenient to load the new Python routes. Install the MCP adapter in its own Python 3.11+ environment, separate from ComfyUI. See installation instructions and the tool reference.

SDK Skills conformance is tested. Codex 0.166.0 tool/resource discovery and Claude Code 2.1.316 connection health were verified with isolated fixtures; automatic Skills activation in those clients remains unverified. Ordinary guidance reads and filesystem skill installation remain available.

Verified with the adapter and full host test suites, strict documentation build, module-version/diff checks, isolated wheel/uv launchers and an independent review with test-first fixes. No live GPU render was performed for this release.

v0.19.7 — Recover managed Saved stories

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 08 Nov 13:14
78ef9c8

Saved stories now recover managed attachments already stripped by older versions. v0.19.6 prevented new attachment loss, but a previously saved detached entry could still report “Managed Timeline changes must use the project API and its current owner” after a restart.

Opening such a Saved story verifies its reserved sequence through the existing project API, restores its attachment and missing asset bindings, and preserves local content/settings through the existing conflict choices. Failed lookups preserve the current workflow. Native stories and forks retain their behavior; ownership guards are unchanged.

Refresh the browser and reopen the affected entry from Saved stories. This is a web-only update; no further ComfyUI restart is required.

Verified: 239 JavaScript and367 Python tests, isolated actual-host recovery/failure/stale-edit regressions, module tags and diff checks. Read-only recovery of the affected saved entry verified its project and12bindings with8-box content unchanged. No production checkpoint or render was run; full custom-node workflow import/render remains untested.

v0.19.6 — Saved stories and manual checkpoints

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 08 Nov 12:50
419c2cb

Two fixes for opening Saved stories and saving manual checkpoints:

  • Saved stories retain their managed API attachment and asset bindings. Status uses the correct project transport; differing saved content/settings stay behind the existing conflict choices rather than being silently replaced. Native imports/forks and generator wiring remain supported. (#67)
  • Manual checkpoint saves accept redundant identical First/Last/Shot preview records and store one canonical record in the independent copy. Conflicting records remain validation errors. Source workflows and media stay unchanged. Autosave need not be enabled. (#68)

Verified on the merged release: 235 JavaScript and 367 Python tests, focused manual checkpoint save/restore regressions, isolated frontend attachment/transport/conflict tests, module cache tags and diff checks. Both PR security checks passed.

Update the custom node and restart ComfyUI when convenient to load the Python checkpoint fix, then refresh the browser. No automatic restart or rendering was performed. Full custom-node workflow import/rendering and the UI sequence that originally produced redundant preview records remain untested.

v0.19.5 — Assigned frame previews

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 08 Nov 11:16
b5b734e

Images assigned as First and Last frame in a clip's Settings now appear in Timeline and Shots, including the enlarged image preview.

  • Frame markers and the Shots image preview resolve assigned image references as well as generated or uploaded stills.
  • Accepted guides keep priority. Assigned frames appear ahead of unaccepted candidates.
  • Disabled, missing and RefMod references stay excluded, and continuing clips keep their unused First reference inactive.

Also removes the stale SHA256SUMS.json list, already merged after v0.19.4.

Web changes only: refresh the browser once after updating. No ComfyUI restart needed.

Validation: 229 JavaScript and 359 Python tests pass, including seven regression cases. Module cache tags and diff checks pass. Independent review found no blockers. No new video render was needed or run.

v0.19.4

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 07 Nov 17:05
50d62f4

A normal browser refresh now loads every updated Studio file.

  • ComfyUI lets the browser keep the Studio's helper files (.mjs) cached. After an update, a normal refresh or a new tab could keep running an older copy of a changed file, mixed with newer ones.
  • Each import now carries a tag computed from the file's contents and everything it imports. Any change gives every file that depends on it a new address, so the browser fetches those again. Unchanged files still load from the cache.
  • For contributors: node tools/module_versions.mjs --write stamps the tags, and the test suite fails while any tag is out of date.

Web files only: refresh the browser once after updating. No ComfyUI restart needed.

Validation: 222 JavaScript and 359 Python tests and GitHub checks passed. A Chromium cache test served the files through ComfyUI's own caching rules: with the old tags a changed module stayed stale after a refresh, and with the new tags it loaded. Checked in the real ComfyUI frontend against an 88-clip workflow.

v0.19.3 — One still-sources request per workflow load

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 07 Nov 15:58
f14da4a

Loading a workflow no longer floods ComfyUI with still-source requests.

  • While a workflow with a Timeline loaded, its still panel redrew once per connection. Each redraw sent the whole Timeline to the server to list the saved continuity sources again. On an 88-clip workflow that was 44 requests of about 370 KB, keeping the server busy for over two seconds. Loading a workflow now asks once.
  • Picking a still target asks once instead of twice.
  • The listed sources, the suggested source and Generate behave as before. Every request that is still needed is sent fresh, so new renders and kept takes always show.

Web files only: hard-refresh the browser. No ComfyUI restart needed.

Validation: 220 JavaScript and 359 Python tests and GitHub checks passed. Measured in the real ComfyUI frontend against an 88-clip workflow and timed on the local server.

PR: #61

v0.19.2 — No freezes after runs of edits

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 07 Nov 13:51
2f2bcf6

No more second-long freezes after a run of edits on long Timelines.

  • A few length edits or clip selections in a row no longer end in a one-to-two-second freeze. Each redraw used to start loading a fresh copy of every clip thumbnail and still, even the copies it then threw away; now only the images that are shown load.
  • Over 20 length edits on an 88-clip Timeline, the longest freeze drops from about 1.6 seconds to about 0.1 second, and each edit builds about half as much temporary data.
  • Thumbnails, stills and typing look and behave as before.

Web files only: hard-refresh the browser. No ComfyUI restart needed.

Validation: 218 JavaScript and 359 Python tests and GitHub checks passed. Measured in the real ComfyUI frontend against an 88-clip workflow.

PR: #60

v0.19.1 — Responsive typing on long Timelines

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 07 Nov 11:49
5361ddb

Typing and editing in the Studio stay responsive on long Timelines.

  • Each key in a clip prompt, its sections, the shared prompt, a bridge prompt or an audio direction shows at once: on an 88-clip Timeline, about a second per key before, about 35 milliseconds now.
  • The saved Timeline still follows every key. The Timeline redraw and the Undo step happen once typing pauses, and Undo or Redo during typing first keeps what was typed.
  • Length edits, selection and dragging redraw the Timeline once, updating the clips and stills already shown. The ComfyUI graph under the Studio stops redrawing while the Studio is open.

Web files only: hard-refresh the browser. No ComfyUI restart needed.

Validation: 217 JavaScript and 359 Python tests and GitHub checks passed. Measured in the real ComfyUI frontend against an 88-clip workflow.

v0.19.0 — P-H3 Still LoRA stacks

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 07 Nov 04:03
88c6b27

P-H3-Image Still now accepts an optional lora_stack input compatible with Easy Use and other conventional LORA_STACK outputs.

  • Applies LoRAs in stack order with separate model and CLIP strengths.
  • Works for direct image generation and Studio First, Last and Shot candidates.
  • Preserves existing behavior when the stack is empty or unconnected.

Restart ComfyUI and reload the browser to expose the new input. Use LoRAs compatible with P-H3-Image.

Validation: 191 JavaScript and 359 Python tests, strict docs build, GitHub checks, and independent code review passed. GPU inference was not performed.

PR: #58

v0.18.0 — Lock audio to boxes

Choose a tag to compare

@KadoBOT KadoBOT released this 06 Nov 16:26
b7c1c58

Audio can now stay attached to each box while you edit the Timeline.

  • Opt in with Lock audio to boxes in Audio settings. Existing and new lanes remain unlocked by default.
  • Extending a box adds local silence; shortening hides its assigned tail so extending again restores it. Later boxes keep their original source ranges.
  • New and duplicated boxes have no assigned audio. Moving carries the assignment; splitting partitions it without replaying a neighbor's sound.
  • The audio lane shows assigned segments and silence gaps. Dialogue, synced text, beats, audio references and the selected original soundtrack follow the same ranges.
  • Unlocking restores the original continuous placement with confirmation when playback changes. Undo restores the bindings.

Validation: 191 JavaScript and 355 Python tests, actual-host/native/attached desktop/mobile browser checks, strict guide build, and a real three-clip GPU render. The exported soundtrack preserved both source tones with measured silence in the extended tail and inserted box.

Upgrade all readers of a saved locked project: box-bound timelines declare the box-audio-windows-1 capability. Restart ComfyUI and refresh the browser after updating.
