PaperDuet 0.3.2
Fewer paragraphs left in English.
Download
PaperDuet_0.3.2_aarch64.dmg (click to download) · Apple silicon Mac (M1 or later) · macOS 13.3 or later · 2 to 8 GB free for the translation model, depending on which one you choose (2.1 GB for the recommended one).
Install
If you have 0.2.x or 0.3.x, PaperDuet offers this update by itself; click it and restart.
Otherwise:
- Open the disk image and drag PaperDuet into Applications, replacing the old version if you have one. Open it from there.
- The app is not notarized by Apple, so the first time macOS says it cannot check it. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down to the message about PaperDuet, click Open Anyway and confirm.
- Your translations, notes and settings stay as they are.
What's new
- Japanese, Korean and Chinese translations that write a large number in 万 ("10万" for 100,000, "4萬" for 40K) no longer fail the number check.
- When the retries only leave a cross-reference ("section 5.4") or a citation out of a sentence, the translation is kept instead of leaving the whole paragraph in English. A missing figure such as "3.5 days" still counts as a failure.
The other files below (.app.tar.gz and latest.json) are what the in-app updater downloads; you don't need them.
