Özfa ODM 1.3.0
Özfa ODM 1.3.0 is a Stable release of Özfa ODM, the ONVIF & CCTV Service Utility developed by KLOWZY
(https://klowzy.com). It adds fullscreen Preview, Add by IP, the Connection Doctor and a printable
Technician Report.
Download this
OzfaODM-Setup-1.3.0-x64.exe
The installer wizard, as in 1.2: it installs for your Windows user account (no administrator rights) and keeps your
settings, saved passwords and trusted certificates. Run it again later to repair or reinstall.
Portable: OzfaODM-Portable-1.3.0-x64.zip
Unzip and run; nothing is installed. No in-app updates — download the new ZIP instead.
The other files on this release (OzfaODM-1.3.0-full.nupkg, releases.win.json, stable.json, stable.json.sig)
are used by the in-app updater; you do not need to download them. SHA256SUMS.txt lists the checksums. The Setup is
not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway).
Updating
Open Özfa ODM → About → Check for updates, confirm, and Özfa ODM updates and restarts. Running the new Setup over
an existing Setup installation also works. If you installed with the 1.1 MSI, update in the app.

- Fullscreen Preview. In the Preview tab, press Fullscreen or double-click the picture. It is the same live
stream — no second connection to the camera. Esc, a double-click or Exit fullscreen return to the panel and
the stream keeps playing; Stop in the overlay stops it. The overlay (camera, stream, Stop, Exit) appears when
you move the mouse or use the keyboard. - Add by IP / Quick Connect. Devices → Add by IP for a camera that discovery does not find. Enter an IP
address, host name,IP:portor the full ONVIF device-service URL. With only an address, Özfa ODM tries the standard
ONVIF address on HTTP 80, 8080, 8899 and HTTPS 443 — nothing wider. No password is sent; sign in afterwards as
usual. You get a clear answer: added, already in the list, certificate needs trust, not an ONVIF service, ONVIF
endpoint not found, not reachable, or name not found. Manually added devices are labelled as such and use the same
Sign In, Preview, Validation and reports; a later Discover does not list them twice. - Connection Doctor. Overview → Diagnose connection… (or Diagnose… after a failed Add by IP). Five
read-only steps — address and subnet, network reachability, ONVIF service, authentication, video port — each
marked Passed, Warning, Failed, Not tested or Not applicable, with the reason and a next step. Blocked ping is not
reported as "offline"; passwords are never tried; nothing on the camera or the PC is changed; Cancel works at any
time. - Technician Report. Validation → Technician report…: a readable report of the device's identity, network,
status, Connection Doctor and Validation results (marked "Not run" when they were not run), with your notes.
Print… opens the Windows Print dialog — choose Microsoft Print to PDF to get a PDF — or Save as HTML…
for a single page that opens in any browser. The JSON report is unchanged.
Hardware verification
1.2.0, including the live Preview, was tested extensively on real cameras by the owner and everything worked, so
Preview is now hardware verified on limited devices (camera models and firmware were not recorded). The four
1.3.0 features were tested with simulated cameras only and are not hardware verified yet; shop testing follows.
No compatibility is claimed for specific brands or models beyond what was tested.
Known limitations
- Add by IP does not scan address ranges or vendor protocols; IPv6 link-local addresses need Discover.
- The Connection Doctor checks the RTSP port only; whether video plays is shown by Preview.
- No built-in PDF writer: PDF output goes through Windows' "Microsoft Print to PDF".
- The Setup and app are not Authenticode code-signed yet.

Özfa ODM 1.2.0
Özfa ODM 1.2.0 is a Stable release of Özfa ODM, the ONVIF & CCTV Service Utility developed by KLOWZY
(https://klowzy.com). It adds a live camera Preview and replaces the separate installers with one Setup.
Download this
OzfaODM-Setup-1.2.0-x64.exe
The installer wizard: Welcome → shortcut option → progress → Finish, with an optional Launch Özfa ODM checkbox.
It installs for your Windows user account (no administrator rights) and keeps your settings, saved passwords and
trusted certificates. Run it again later to repair or reinstall.
Portable: OzfaODM-Portable-1.2.0-x64.zip
Unzip and run; nothing is installed. No in-app updates — download the new ZIP instead.
The other files on this release (OzfaODM-1.2.0-full.nupkg, releases.win.json, stable.json, stable.json.sig)
are used by the in-app updater; you do not need to download them. SHA256SUMS.txt lists the checksums. The Setup is
not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway).
Updating from 1.0 or 1.1
Open Özfa ODM → About → Check for updates (or wait for the automatic check if it is on), confirm, and Özfa ODM
updates and restarts — whether you installed it with the 1.1 MSI, the QuickSetup or the 1.0 Setup. Running the new
Setup over a 1.0/1.1 Setup or QuickSetup installation also works. If you installed with the 1.1 MSI, update in the
app; the new Setup will tell you so instead of creating a second installation.

- Live preview. Sign in, select the device, open the Preview tab and press Play.
- Choose the stream (profile). The lower-resolution stream is selected by default, which keeps the camera and the PC
light. The camera's codec, resolution, frame rate and bitrate are shown; nothing on the camera is changed. - Stop, Fit to area, Save snapshot… (the camera's own snapshot, or the current picture), and
Open externally (opens the stream address in the RTSP player installed on this PC, without the password, and
copies the address). - Clear states: Connecting, Playing, Stopped, Error — with a short reason: wrong account for the stream, the camera's
stream limit reached, unknown stream address, camera not reachable, no answer, unsupported codec, or the stream
stopped (camera unplugged or rebooted). It never reconnects on its own; press Play again. - H.264 and H.265 (also MJPEG and MPEG-4) over RTSP/TCP using the account you signed in with. The preview stops when
you leave the tab, switch device, sign out, the device reboots or moves, and when you close the app.
- Choose the stream (profile). The lower-resolution stream is selected by default, which keeps the camera and the PC
- One Setup with the Özfa ODM wizard instead of the MSI/QuickSetup choice. Uninstall from Windows Settings → Apps
as before; your data stays.
Hardware verification
The Preview was tested with a local test stream (H.264 and H.265) and simulated cameras, not yet on real cameras.
Shop testing follows this release. Hard factory default stays Experimental; the 1.0 workflow remains Hardware
verified on limited devices. No compatibility is claimed for specific brands or models beyond what was tested.
Known limitations
- Preview decodes in software (fine for sub-streams; a 4K main stream is shown scaled down and uses more CPU). No
audio, recording, playback, PTZ overlay or multi-camera view. - Streams that are not RTSP (for example HTTP MJPEG addresses) can only be opened externally.
- The Setup and app are not Authenticode code-signed yet.
Open-source components
The Preview uses LibVLC 3.0.24 and LibVLCSharp 3.10.1 (LGPL), shipped as separate replaceable files with their
licence texts; only LGPL plugins are included. Details and the source offer are in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md (About →
Open-source notices).

Özfa ODM 1.1.0
Özfa ODM 1.1.0 is a Stable release of Özfa ODM, the ONVIF & CCTV Service Utility developed by KLOWZY
(https://klowzy.com). It adds ONVIF Hard Factory Default and a branded installer wizard (MSI).
Which file should I download?
| File | What it is | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
OzfaODM-Installer-1.1.0-x64.msi |
Recommended installer. Branded Özfa ODM setup wizard: Welcome → Ready to install → progress → Finish, with an optional Launch Özfa ODM checkbox | New installations, and upgrading an installation that was made with an Özfa ODM MSI |
OzfaODM-QuickSetup-1.1.0-x64.exe |
Quick installer. No wizard: installs in a few seconds and starts the app | Upgrading an installation made with the 1.0 Setup .exe without opening the app, or when you just want it installed fast |
OzfaODM-Portable-1.1.0-x64.zip |
Optional portable version. Unzip and run; nothing is installed | Quick tests on a PC where you do not want to install anything. No in-app updates; download the new ZIP instead |
Both installers install for the current Windows user only (no administrator rights), add Start menu and desktop
shortcuts and an Apps & Features entry, receive the same signed in-app updates, and keep your settings, saved
passwords and trusted certificates. The MSI cannot take over an installation made with the Setup .exe; it says so
and changes nothing. To switch to the MSI, uninstall Özfa ODM in Windows Settings → Apps first (your data stays).
The installers are not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway). Check downloads against
SHA256SUMS.txt.
Updating from 1.0.0
Installations of 1.0.0 are offered 1.1.0 in About → Check for updates (and by the automatic daily check, if it
is on). Confirm, and Özfa ODM updates and restarts; settings, saved passwords and trusted certificates are kept.
Running the Quick Setup .exe over 1.0.0 does the same. If you installed the 1.1.0-rc.1 MSI, run the new MSI to
upgrade it.
New in 1.1
- Hard factory default (experimental). In Overview → Dangerous actions, below Soft factory default. One
dialog with a red title names the exact device (manufacturer, model, IP address, MAC, serial, firmware) and has
exactly one checkbox: "I understand that this will restore this device to its hard factory defaults." The red
Hard Factory Reset button stays disabled until it is ticked; Cancel stays the default. The request is sent once
and never repeated. - After a hard reset Özfa ODM watches for the device for up to 6 minutes, says when it stopped answering, and
recognises it again by its ONVIF identity, MAC address or serial number, also at a new address. It tells you that
accounts were probably reset (the saved password may not work) and that the device may present a new HTTPS
certificate. If the device is not found, that is common after a hard reset: it may be at a vendor default address,
inactive and waiting for activation with the vendor's tool or web page, or have ONVIF turned off. Use Rescue if it
appears on another subnet. Özfa ODM has no vendor-specific activation or password workaround. - If a device does not answer a factory default request at all, Özfa ODM now says so and watches for it anyway (some
devices reset before answering), instead of reporting a plain failure. - Installer wizard (MSI) with the Özfa ODM logo and artwork, product name and version on every page, a short
product description, the install folder on the Ready page, a progress page and a Finish page with an optional
Launch Özfa ODM checkbox (untick it and nothing starts). Apps & Features shows the description, KLOWZY's website
and the installed size. Uninstall from Windows Settings removes the program, shortcuts and entry and keeps your data. - The device report records the factory default kind (Soft/Hard), whether it was confirmed, and whether the device was
seen restarting.
Hardware verification
Hard factory default was tested successfully on a real camera at the shop with 1.1.0-rc.1. Because that is one
camera, it keeps the Experimental label in the app; behaviour after a hard reset differs between vendors. The core
workflow from 1.0.0 remains Hardware verified on limited devices. No compatibility is claimed for specific brands
or models beyond what was tested.
Known limitations
- Not included: embedded camera preview (planned for 1.2), firmware upgrade, PTZ tours, changes to several devices at
once. - The MSI uses Velopack's standard Windows Installer wizard: a fixed page layout, artwork that Windows scales on
high-DPI screens, and Windows' own small "Are you sure you want to uninstall this product?" prompt when you
uninstall from Settings. - The installers and app are not Authenticode code-signed yet (SmartScreen warning on first run).

Özfa ODM 1.1.0-rc.1 (Release Candidate)
Özfa ODM 1.1.0-rc.1 is the first Release Candidate for Özfa ODM 1.1 (ONVIF & CCTV Service Utility),
developed by KLOWZY (https://klowzy.com). It adds ONVIF Hard Factory Default (experimental) and a normal
installer wizard (MSI). It is a pre-release for shop testing; installations of 1.0.0 Stable are not offered it
automatically.
Install or upgrade
- New installation: download
OzfaODM-Setup-1.1.0-rc.1-x64.msiand double-click it: Welcome → Install →
Finish, with an optional Launch Özfa ODM checkbox. Per user, no administrator rights. - Already have Özfa ODM 1.0.0? Run
OzfaODM-Setup-1.1.0-rc.1-x64.exe(quick install) over it. Your settings,
saved passwords and trusted certificates are kept. The MSI cannot take over an installation made with the Setup
.exe; it tells you so and changes nothing. To switch to the MSI, uninstall Özfa ODM first (your data stays). - Portable:
OzfaODM-Portable-1.1.0-rc.1-x64.zip(no installation, no in-app updates).
The installers are not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway). Check downloads against
SHA256SUMS.txt.
New in 1.1
- Hard factory default (experimental, not hardware verified). In Overview → Dangerous actions, below Soft
factory default. One dialog with a red title names the exact device (manufacturer, model, IP address, MAC, serial,
firmware) and has exactly one checkbox: "I understand that this will restore this device to its hard factory
defaults." The red Hard Factory Reset button stays disabled until it is ticked; Cancel stays the default. The
request is sent once and never repeated. - After a hard reset Özfa ODM watches for the device for up to 6 minutes, says when it stopped answering, and
recognises it again by its ONVIF identity, MAC address or serial number, also at a new address. It tells you that

devices reset before answering), instead of reporting a plain failure. - Installer wizard (MSI) with the Özfa ODM artwork, next to the quick-install Setup and the portable ZIP. In-app
updates work the same for both installers. - The device report records the factory default kind (Soft/Hard), whether it was confirmed, and whether the device was
seen restarting.
Hardware verification
Unchanged from 1.0.0: the core workflow is Hardware verified on limited devices. Hard factory default is
Experimental · not hardware verified until the shop test results are in.
Not in this release
Embedded camera preview (planned for 1.2), firmware upgrade, PTZ tours, changes to several devices at once.

device's report… and send the JSON file to KLOWZY, with a note of what the camera did after the reset (address,
DHCP, activation, ONVIF). Reports contain no passwords or account names.
Özfa ODM 1.0.0
Özfa ODM 1.0.0 is the first Stable release of Özfa ODM, the ONVIF & CCTV Service Utility developed by
KLOWZY (https://klowzy.com). It is a Windows technician tool for finding, identifying and servicing ONVIF-capable
CCTV cameras, recorders and encoders, including devices that sit on a different subnet than the service PC.
Install or upgrade
Download OzfaODM-Setup-1.0.0-x64.exe and run it (Windows 10/11 x64, per-user, no administrator rights).
Running it over 1.0.0-rc.1 or an earlier pre-release upgrades in place and keeps your settings, saved passwords
and trusted certificates. The installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway).
Check the download against SHA256SUMS.txt.
What it does
- Discovery: ONVIF WS-Discovery on every active adapter, plus passive Hello/Bye listening; devices on a foreign
subnet are still listed and marked as not directly reachable. - Rescue for off-subnet devices: an explicit, confirmed, temporary extra address on the PC (through a small
elevated helper) to reach a camera on another subnet, with Restore PC network now. The temporary address is
never saved and is removed on exit. - Sign-in and trust: per-device credentials in Windows Credential Manager; HTTPS certificates trusted on first
use and pinned. - Inspection: device information, network, time/NTP, media profiles with stream and snapshot addresses, imaging,
PTZ. - Device management: network address change with automatic rediscovery, time sync and NTP, reboot, ONVIF soft
factory default, users, PTZ move, presets and home. Every change names the exact device, shows current → new
values and needs your confirmation. - Validation and reports: a validation run per device and a sanitized JSON report (no passwords or account
names).
Updates
Özfa ODM 1.0.0 checks for updates itself. About → Check for updates looks for a newer Stable release, and an
automatic check (on by default, at most once a day, can be turned off in Settings) does the same in the background
without interrupting your work. The release information is signed by KLOWZY and verified by the app; the update
package must match the signed SHA-256 before it can be installed. Nothing is downloaded or installed without your
confirmation, and your settings, saved passwords and trusted certificates are kept. Stable installations are never
offered pre-releases. Updating from 1.0.0-rc.1 to 1.0.0 is done by running this Setup (the Release Candidate
had no update source).
Hardware verification
The core technician workflow was tested successfully on real hardware at a CCTV shop: discovery on the PC's own
subnet and of an off-subnet camera, Rescue (temporary PC address, reaching the camera, Restore PC network now),
sign-in and device information, changing the camera's network address with rediscovery, reboot and Soft Factory
Default. These features are labelled Hardware verified on limited devices in the app. Other features are
Not hardware verified or Experimental (users, PTZ). No compatibility is claimed for specific brands or
models beyond what was tested.
Known limitations
- Not included: hard factory default, firmware upgrade, live video player, PTZ tours, changes to several devices at
once. - A soft factory default may keep the device's network settings; this is vendor-specific.
- The installer and app are not Authenticode code-signed yet (SmartScreen warning on first run).
- In-app updates are supported for installations made with Setup; for the portable ZIP, download the new ZIP.

Özfa ODM 1.0.0-rc.1 (Release Candidate)
Özfa ODM 1.0.0-rc.1 is the first Release Candidate for Özfa ODM 1.0 (ONVIF & CCTV Service Utility),
developed by KLOWZY (https://klowzy.com). It is a pre-release: the feature set is frozen, and this build is for
final shop testing before the stable 1.0.
Install or upgrade
Download OzfaODM-Setup-1.0.0-rc.1-x64.exe and run it (Windows 10/11 x64, per-user, no administrator rights).
Running it over 0.2.0-alpha.3 upgrades in place and keeps your settings, saved passwords and trusted certificates.
The installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway). Check the download against
SHA256SUMS.txt.
Verified on real hardware so far
The core technician workflow was tested successfully at the shop with 0.2.0-alpha.3 (the same code is in this
release), on one PC and one real camera:
- normal ONVIF discovery on the PC's own subnet, and discovery of an off-subnet camera (172.16.29.108);
- Rescue: a temporary extra address on the PC, reaching the off-subnet camera through it, and
Restore PC network now, with normal PC networking throughout; - signing in and reading device information;
- changing the camera's network address into the PC's subnet and finding the same camera again at its new address
(matched by its ONVIF identity); - reboot and Soft Factory Default.
These features are labelled Hardware verified on limited devices in the app. Other features are
Not hardware verified or Experimental (users, PTZ). Nothing is claimed for other brands or models yet.
Changes since 0.2.0-alpha.3
- Soft factory default is confirmed in one dialog that names the exact device (manufacturer, model, IP address,
serial, MAC) and has a checkbox: "I understand that this will reset this device to its soft factory defaults and
reboot it." The reset button stays disabled until it is ticked; Cancel stays the default. No IP address needs to
be typed any more. - Soft factory default may keep the network settings. On the tested camera the manually configured IP address
stayed the same after the reset. This is normal and vendor-specific: do not expect a soft reset to restore the
original factory IP. Özfa ODM now says "kept its network address" when that happens. Hard factory default is a
separate operation and is not available in Özfa ODM. - Rescue confirmation is now labelled Temporary PC network change and states clearly that the camera is not
reset, that the PC gets one temporary additional address while its original address stays, and that
Restore PC network now removes it. The temporary address is never saved. - After a network change or reset, the banner says how the device was recognised (ONVIF identity, MAC address or
serial number). - About and Settings show the update channel as Release Candidate.
- Checkbox text is readable in the dark theme; Rescue cleanup no longer pauses the window while it waits.
Not in this release
Hard factory default, firmware upgrade, live video, PTZ tours, changes to several devices at once.
Please help test
Reports from more cameras, recorders and encoders, especially other brands, are the most useful thing now. In the
app: select the device, Validation → Run validation, then Export this device's report… and send the JSON file

Özfa ODM 0.2.0-alpha.3 (Alpha)
Özfa ODM 0.2.0-alpha.3 is an Alpha pre-release by KLOWZY (https://klowzy.com) with the first technician
controls that change devices. It is not hardware verified: every feature was tested only against simulated
devices. Every device-changing control is labelled Experimental · not hardware verified. Please test on bench
units only and send back the per-device reports.
Install or upgrade
Download OzfaODM-Setup-0.2.0-alpha.3-x64.exe and run it (Windows 10/11 x64, per-user, no administrator
rights). Running it over 0.2.0-alpha.2 upgrades in place and keeps your settings, saved passwords and trusted
certificates. The installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway). Check the
download against SHA256SUMS.txt.
Fixes for the Alpha 2 shop findings (please re-test)
- Cameras on another subnet (e.g. 172.x) are found through their announcements. Özfa ODM now also listens for
WS-Discovery Hello/Bye. Windows Firewall may ask once when Özfa ODM starts: choose Allow. Such devices are
marked "Announced only". - A removed camera no longer stays listed as present. After a scan, devices that did not answer are shown as
"Not seen in latest scan" (hidden unless you switch on Show offline); Clear offline removes them.
Both are fixed in simulation; they are not confirmed until the shop re-test.
New in this Alpha (experimental)
- Network settings (Network tab → Edit network settings): DHCP or static address, prefix/netmask, gateway, DNS,
host name. Input is checked as you type; the confirmation shows current → new values and warns when the device
will leave this PC's subnet. Özfa ODM then looks for the device at its new address and tells you where it was
found. Restore previous values writes the old settings back while the device is reachable. There is no
automatic rollback on the device. - Users tab: add a user, change a password (masked, typed twice), change the level, delete. The last
administrator is protected. When you change the password of the account you are signed in with, the new password
is tested first; your saved password is only replaced if it works. - Soft factory default (Overview → Dangerous actions): two confirmations, the second one asks you to type a
phrase naming the device. Vendors differ in what a soft reset keeps; Özfa ODM looks for the device afterwards.
Hard factory default is not available. - PTZ presets and home: go to, save, overwrite and remove presets; go home and set home. Stop interrupts any move.
- Rescue for a camera on another subnet (Overview card): explains why the PC cannot reach it, tries IPv6
link-local first, and as a last resort adds one temporary address to this PC (Windows asks for administrator
permission). The PC's own address, DHCP, firewall, routes and other adapters are not changed. The address is
removed with Restore PC network now, when Özfa ODM closes or crashes, and at the latest at the next restart;
a banner stays visible while it is active. - Validation records the new manual checks when you perform them; report v3 lists every change (network
before/after and where the device was found again, Rescue steps, reset, user actions, presets) and never contains
passwords or account names.
Not in this Alpha
Hard factory default, firmware upgrade, changing several devices at once, certificate replacement, PTZ tours and
live video.
Shop testing
Follow the updated checklist from KLOWZY: first the Alpha 2 re-test (off-subnet camera, unplugged camera), then the
read-only checks, then the Phase 3B manual checks in order: presets, a test user account, a network change with
restore, Rescue, and a soft factory default only on a unit you may erase. Export one report per device.
Özfa ODM 0.2.0-alpha.2 (Alpha)
Özfa ODM 0.2.0-alpha.2 is an Alpha pre-release by KLOWZY (https://klowzy.com) that prepares a broad shop test.
It is not hardware verified: every feature below was tested only against simulated devices, including
simulated firmware quirks. Please test on bench units and send back the per-device reports.
Install or upgrade
Download OzfaODM-Setup-0.2.0-alpha.2-x64.exe and run it (Windows 10/11 x64, per-user, no administrator
rights). Running it over 0.2.0-alpha.1 upgrades in place and keeps your settings, saved passwords and trusted
certificates. The installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway). Check the
download against SHA256SUMS.txt.
New in this Alpha
- Device tabs after sign-in, shown only when the device offers them:
- Network (read-only): interfaces, MAC, DHCP/static, addresses, DNS, gateway, host name.
- Time & NTP: device clock, time zone, NTP servers.
- Media: Media and Media2 profiles with codec, resolution, frame rate, bitrate and audio; stream (RTSP) and
snapshot addresses with a copy button, plus a snapshot preview. - Imaging (read-only).
- PTZ (experimental): capabilities, status, presets list, hold-to-move pad with Stop.
- Four confirmed actions. Each shows the exact device and the current → new values before anything is sent:
- Reboot: Özfa ODM tells you when the device answers again.
- Sync time from this PC: optionally with the PC's time zone.
- Configure NTP.
- PTZ move/stop: every move carries a 1-second device timeout.
- Validation mode. One click runs the read-only checks for a device and marks each Passed, Failed,
Unsupported, Skipped, Not tested or Needs your action. PTZ and reboot are manual checks you confirm. - Per-device report (Validation → Export this device's report). A sanitized JSON with identity, services,
time/NTP, network, media, imaging, PTZ, TLS state and the validation results. It never contains passwords or
account names. - Safer addresses: credentials some firmware puts into stream URIs are removed, and wrong hosts (0.0.0.0, internal
IPs) are corrected, with a note in the UI.
Not in this Alpha
Factory reset, network or IP changes, user or password changes, certificate replacement, firmware upgrade, Rescue
addressing, bulk actions, preset editing or tours, and live video. There is still no in-app update source: upgrade
by running the newer Setup.
Shop testing
Use the shop checklist from KLOWZY. In short: sign in, run validation, try the PTZ pad on PTZ cameras, then export
one report per device (Validation tab) and send the files to KLOWZY. Keep the protocol trace switched on
(Settings → Diagnostics) while testing, so failing checks can be debugged.
Özfa ODM 0.2.0-alpha.1 (Alpha)
Özfa ODM 0.2.0-alpha.1 is the first public Alpha of the ONVIF & CCTV service utility by KLOWZY (https://klowzy.com).
It is a pre-release for testing on real equipment. It is not hardware-verified: every result so far comes from
simulated devices.
Install
Download OzfaODM-Setup-0.2.0-alpha.1-x64.exe and run it. Windows 10/11 x64, installs for the current user,
no administrator rights. The installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn (More info → Run anyway).
Check the download against SHA256SUMS.txt:
Get-FileHash .\OzfaODM-Setup-0.2.0-alpha.1-x64.exe -Algorithm SHA256The portable ZIP is for quick tests only. It cannot update itself.
What it does
- Discovery: WS-Discovery on every selected network adapter, with a deep scan for slow networks. Devices are
shown even when they are outside the PC's subnet. The list flags IP conflicts, duplicate identities, link-local
addresses and non-standard replies, and shows which adapter found each device. - Reachability is shown separately from discovery, using an unauthenticated ONVIF time query. The device clock
offset is displayed. - Sign-in to one device at a time, always as an explicit action. WS-UsernameToken with automatic clock-offset
compensation, and HTTP Digest (MD5/SHA-256). Passwords are never sent in clear text. Clear results for wrong
password, suspected lockout, missing permission and network problems. - HTTPS devices: you review a self-signed certificate's fingerprint once and trust it for that device only. If
the certificate changes later, you get a warning and nothing is sent. - Device identity after sign-in: manufacturer, model, firmware, serial number, device-reported MAC and service
endpoints (with firmware address mistakes corrected and marked). - Saved credentials are optional and stored in Windows Credential Manager. Named credential sets can be picked
in the sign-in dialog and are never tried automatically. - Test report export (Devices → Export test report): a sanitized JSON report for hardware validation, with an
optional redacted protocol trace (Settings → Diagnostics).
Upgrading and your data
Updates keep your settings, saved passwords and trusted certificates. This Alpha has no in-app update source yet:
to upgrade, run the newer Setup over it. Uninstalling removes the program but deliberately keeps your data. To
remove everything, use Settings → Privacy & data → Remove saved credentials and certificate trust, then delete
%LocalAppData%\KLOWZY\OzfaODM.
Not in this Alpha
Device configuration (network, date/time, users), reboot or factory reset, firmware upgrade, PTZ, live video,
Rescue addressing and passive (Hello/Bye) discovery are not included. Nothing in this build changes a device's
configuration or the PC's network settings.
Known limitations
- Not code-signed (SmartScreen warning). No in-app updates for this build (see above).
- Compatibility with specific camera or recorder models has not been verified. Please send a test report.
