PanoBox 2.0.0

PanoBox 2.0 brings an English interface, a Windows installer and password-protected backups.

• English and Turkish: choose the language in Settings → General. New installations follow the Windows language; existing installations stay in Turkish until you change it.
• Installer or portable: PanoBox-2.0.0-win-x64-Setup.exe installs for your Windows account only (no administrator rights), adds a Start menu entry and optional desktop/startup entries, and stores data in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PanoBox. Uninstalling asks before deleting data. The portable PanoBox-2.0.0-win-x64.zip works as before.
• Password-protected backups (optional): .pbx backups are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your password (PBKDF2-SHA256). A forgotten password cannot be recovered. Unprotected .zip backups and older JSON backups still restore.
• Paste as plain text: Ctrl+Shift+Alt+V pastes the clipboard without formatting (configurable). File entries can be pasted as a list of paths.
• Search: "exact phrases", -exclusions, English filters such as type:image, app:, after:yesterday or after:7d, and relevance ranking.
• Templates: edit existing templates, insert variables with buttons, see a live preview; {date}, {time}, {clipboard} and other English variable names work alongside the Turkish ones.
• Redesigned palette and settings: Fluent icons, actions shown on hover, sidebar settings pages, first-run guidance, themed title bars and scrollbars.

Download: pick the installer or the portable ZIP and compare its SHA-256 hash with SHA256SUMS.txt, for example Get-FileHash .\PanoBox-2.0.0-win-x64-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256. Requires Windows 11 22H2 or later, x64; the .NET runtime is included.

Unsigned files: the installer and executable are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn before the first run. A matching checksum confirms the file is the published one; it is not a code signature.

Updating from 1.x: exit PanoBox from the tray and create a backup first. Portable users replace the application files and keep the Data folder. To move to the installer, back up in the portable copy, install, then restore the backup.

Clipboard history stays on your PC and is not encrypted; only backups can be password protected. See the README, privacy policy, changelog and third-party notices included in this release. The public repository contains documentation and binaries; application source is maintained privately.

Verification: 267 service tests and 312 Windows tests passed; the packaged app was checked in Dark/Turkish and Light/English; the installer passed a silent per-user install and uninstall check. Built with .NET SDK 10.0.402 from private commit 76611aa.
