Pre-release
Pre-release
Ported the mod to 1.21 NeoForge
This release was created in parallel with 1.0.4 for 1.20. Any changes included in both releases is just listed under the changelog for 1.0.4.
General
- Luck when chromium is not present was moved to emerald (was previously netherite).
- Netherite was added as a new "godmetal" storing growth, which makes you smaller or larger and scales speed, damage, and jump abilities.
- Tapping luck (emerald or chromium) now grants a boost to block fortune and mob equipment drop chances in addition to the looting bonus. It no longer grants an experience bonus.
- Tapping warmth (brass or constantan) now grants a reduction or boost to fire burn time.
- Metals no longer need to have nuggets for their power to be available, using a fallback recipe if it lacks nuggets.
Tinkers' Compatibility
- Temporarily disabled the metalmind melting and casting recipes, need Tinkers to port before we can reimplement those.
- Other recipes should still work, though depending on a few details in the Tinkers port its possible they will need format updates.
API
- Metals on item stacks now use
MetalHolder, which notably makes fetching metal power data more efficient. Can be constructed usingMetalManager. - All item stack NBT data is now in data components.
- Metal ingredients now validate the metal matches instead of being purely display.
- Metal ingredients now use a new metal predicate for the metal type filters, which allows more flexibility over the filters.
Models
- Switch any loader specific stuff to
neoforgeinstead offorge. - Palettes for metal models now use
metalborn:metalas the key instead of justmetal. - Metal shape model no longer has a key property, just using
metalborn:metal.
Metal powers
- Metals can now be marked as a gem, which improves some recipes numbers for gem values, notably melting and casting.
- Attribute operations were renamed to
add_value,add_multiplied_base, andadd_multiplied_totalinstead ofaddition,multiply_base, andmultiply_total. - Attribute effects now support custom formulas for how it scales per level instead of always being linear scaling.
- Renamed the conditions field on metal powers to
neoforge:conditions. - Removed
swap_colorson attribute module as Mojang added the new attribute sentiment which handles that automatically.
Data
- Move common tags to
c - Conditions now use
neoforgeconditions instead offorgeconditions. - Update folders for several types of data.
- Several attributes were moved to Mantle or vanilla, and several forge attributes were moved to neoforge or vanilla.
