What's Changed

  • spc as primary build-from-source method — PHP 8.x builds now use static-php-cli (spc) to produce fully-static binaries with configurable extensions and SAPI support. PHP 7.x and custom configure-opts fall back to traditional php.net configure/make.
  • extensions config option — customize the extension list for spc source builds (defaults to the 37 extensions matching prebuilt binaries).
  • Fix VirtualPath issue — resolved --prefix using virtual WASI path instead of real filesystem path in php.net builds.
  • spc doctor --auto-fix — automatically fixes missing build dependencies during spc builds.
  • Clarified sapi scope — applies to prebuilt binaries and spc source builds; php.net path uses configure-opts instead.
