• Quiet metadata checks on launch and return to the foreground, rate-limited to once per 15 minutes after success, with earlier retry eligibility after failure.
• The download icon appears only for a verified installable update. No icon or up-to-date message is shown while current, checking silently, offline or without an available update.
• Clicking still downloads, installs and relaunches in place. Metadata checks never download or install an update.
• Existing pages, categories, split layouts and functionality remain unchanged.
• Universal Developer ID build, Apple notarization and signed update feed. Version 0.17 can update in-app.

Group and item checkboxes share the leading column, disclosure stays independent, and protected-item descriptions remain readable. Includes the published CLI uninstall and icon fixes, plus a GitHub link in Settings.

Grant Full Disk Access in System Settings when needed to access protected folders. AI assistance is optional. Built from the public commit linked above; source-build instructions remain in the repository README.
