I think this would be a great initiative. It may also help projects facing similar challenges brainstorm solutions together and encourage more collaboration between projects. |
|
Thank you so much for your comment @OsamaRab3 ! I discussed this idea internally and it seems like a great time to restart these sessions. I will start working on preparing an agenda. I will look into how these meetings use to look like to replicate the format. |

Great initiative — thanks for restarting this, @jwagantall. One suggestion: since there's no fixed format yet, maybe the first meeting itself should just be a "topic consensus" session — maintainers pitch/vote on recurring themes live, and that sets the agenda and cadence for future ones. Keeps prep light and lets the community self-select what's worth repeating. |
|
I was at the face-to-face Maintainer Days at the beginning of the year and it was pretty valuable to meet people and hear about other projects. I think it would be nice to have a session to develop a maintainer-sourced "project map" that showed all the LFDT projects and which space they themselves think they are in, and that hypothesizes possible connections between projects. |
|
I have been thinking a lot about adoption of AI and AI-generated PRs. It'd be very useful to share lessons learned from other maintainers regarding gaurdrails of AI-assissted and AI-generated PRs. |
|
IMO, this would be really useful. As maintainers, we often run into similar challenges but end up solving them in isolation. Having a virtual space to share those real experiences, challenges, and what worked (or didn’t) could save a lot of time and help the community learn from each other. |

Hello Jessica,
Thank you for launching this, a quarterly maintainers meeting would be very
useful.
A few topic ideas from the Artizyou side:
1. AI-generated contributions and license hygiene: authorship, copyright
ownership and licensing risk when PRs are written by coding agents, and
what a practical disclosure policy could look like for LFDT projects.
2. Proof of authorship and provenance for creative works: combining
verifiable credentials with creation timestamps, including AI-assisted
works. Happy to share what we have learned building Artizyou.
3. Intellectual property as a tokenized asset: rights, royalties and
licenses
behave differently from other real-world assets. We would be glad to
contribute this use case to the Tokenized Assets Standard lab
discussions.
4. Identity and delegation for AI agents: how an agent proves who it acts
for, and within which limits.
We would be happy to lead or co-lead a session on topic 1 or 2.

@/ent:project-maintainers @/ent:lab-maintainers, does anyone else has
other ideas for topics I can also include along with Osama's?

@LF-Decentralized-Trust/lf-staff, I am very happy with all the suggestions and the positive feedback received from the maintainers on this idea. As discussed before, the best next step from here is to run a pre-launch session (via Meetup?) to lock a good agenda for topics to discuss for our first official re-launch virtual event. Let me know your thoughts. Ideally, we want to promote this pre-launch session with enough time too. I will bring this up in our internal sync up and update this thread with more news. |

@LF-Decentralized-Trust/lf-staff, Project Maintainers and Lab Maintainers, We have now created a collaborative session for those interested in helping us build the formal agenda for the Reboot series for our LFDT's Quarterly All Maintainers series. |
Uh oh!

Dear Project and Lab Maintainers,
Our team is discussing an idea to potentially start a Quarterly Maintainers Meeting that can serve as a place for brainstorming, learning new topics and exchange ideas across projects.
I would like to invite you to share your opinion on any related content you would like to see featured and specific ideas on discussions you would like to open for other project maintainers or for LFDT staff to help develop.
There is no fixed time or date yet for this idea, but will like to start by asking the community to see if this is something that could be beneficial.
Please share your topic ideas!
Thank you!
