Fixed

  • Messages silently swallowed after a /compact or a session switch. _isCompactMode is a provider-wide flag for an in-flight native /compact. Two paths lost messages: (1) sending while compaction was running injected the text to the PTY but the legacy compact-mode gate hid the user bubble, so the message vanished; (2) the flag was never reset when leaving the conversation (new session / load another conversation), so it stayed true and swallowed every subsequent send. Now _resetCompactionState() runs on every session switch, and a send attempted during an in-flight compaction is visibly rejected with the same "Claude is still processing your previous request. Please wait…" notice — the message is never silently lost.
  • Turn could hang forever on stop_reason: null responses. Responses containing a thinking block (and some large-context first turns) are finalized with stop_reason=null, so the end_turn (B1) path never fired and the UI hung. Added a B3 PTY-idle completion fallback: once an assistant line has appeared this turn, sustained PTY silence (spinner stopped) completes the turn — deduped against B1/B2.
  • QUESTION option-card title towered over the conversation badges. The .ask-question-header was 14px while the YOU/CLAUDE/RESULT badges are 11px. Reduced to 13px to match the conversation body; the bold weight alone now carries the emphasis.

Install

The bundled node-pty win32-x64 prebuilt binaries are verified present in this VSIX (the v5.0.3 packaging regression is fixed since v5.0.4).
