Core Bundle
- HomeView guests (HomeAccessory17,1 and 17,2, J490/J491): firmware preparation, a
homeviewpreset, USB touch input and an optional, reversible setup bypass. Scoped sandbox lookups that blocked BreadBoard and guest-profile initialization are fixed. Display geometry is still provisional. (#786) - OpenGL ES renders in guests:
EAGLContextreturns contexts for APIs 1–3 and GL draws reach the screen. The kernel names the GLES renderer (kernel-cfw-paravirt_gles_renderer), the guest compiler plugin completes the AIR modules OpenGL ES sends, and the paravirtual GPU driver no longer sends primitive restart (system-paravirt_gpu-cfw-primitive_restart). Both patches are on instandardand blocked by the tvOS and HomePod presets.cfw update-environmentnow also replaces an installed guest's compiler plugin when the bundle's copy differs. (#798) - iPhone Duo with WebDriverAgent: the inner display is published to every process at point scale 3 and as a built-in panel (type 0), so WDA lists it with the right size and its inner screenshot fills the frame, and
display.modesreports scale 3 and type 0. WDA'sPOST /wda/device/hingeAnglemoves the hinge. (#788, #799, #800) vm create --bootstrap roothide|rootless(andbootstrapin avm create-bulkplist) installs Irisin andowngoal-bootstrap-vphoneduring the first boot, then shuts the guest down. vphoned addsbootstrap.packages. It needs Irisin 5.1.5 or later; Apple TV skips the package step. The first boot ofvm createnow stages this bundle's vphoned. (#796)- The
trimmedservice profile keepscom.apple.generativeexperiencesdrunning (list version 4). Disabling it made an idle iOS 27 VM spin launchd at about 130% host CPU. (#797) - Apple Watch Series 11 plays system sounds and playback audio through the speaker in the
watchospreset. (#790) - IPA installation signs fat binaries that carry armv7 next to arm64: the 32-bit slices are kept byte for byte and the 64-bit ones signed. (#795)
- Experimental, off in every shipped preset: iPhone15,4 iOS 17.7 (21H16) userland on the cloudOS 26.1 boot chain reaches the Home Screen with
system-springboard-exp-ios17_desktop. This is a desktop bring-up, not iOS 17 support; seeResearch/Guest/ios17_bringup.mdfor the required steps and limits. The seputil gigalocker patch also recognizes ADR references. (#794)
Launchpad 2.15.0
- New Machine offers HomeView, which restores on its own like Apple TV and HomePod: no template and no slimming switches.
vphone-launchpad-cli vm createtreats HomeView the same way. (#786) - Launchpad 2.15 needs a 2.15 bundle: the
homeviewpreset is part of the contract, so the minimum bundle is 2.15.0. The helper is unchanged (build 21). - Download
vphone-launchpad-2.15.0-notarized.zip: Developer ID signed, notarized and stapled.vphone-launchpad-2.15.0.zipis built by CI and not notarized; macOS blocks it the first time you open it (see Downloads).
Upgrading
Install Launchpad 2.15.0 and VPhone.bundle 2.15.0 together. Templates from 2.14 are not reused (the bundle series is part of the key); the first creation builds a new one. An existing machine gets the new guest patches, vphoned and the GLES compiler plugin when its environment is updated, and the GLES kernel patch when its kernel is updated. A machine trimmed with an earlier service list gets generativeexperiencesd back when the profile is applied again.
Validation
- CI builds the Release
VPhonescheme and Launchpad, runs bundle admission, and checks bothvphone-escalatorslices before attaching the files. - Each change was checked on device by its author as described in its pull request (HomeView J490/J491, OpenGL ES on iPhone17,3 iOS 27.0.1, iPhone Duo on iOS 27.1 with WDA 16.17.x,
--bootstrapfrom zero and from a template with Irisin 5.1.5, Watch7,18 watchOS 26.4, iPhone15,4 iOS 17.7). The service profile change was not reproduced on a live VM; its numbers are the reporter's. - The 2.15.0 bundle as a whole has not been run on device yet.
- The notarized Launchpad was built (Release) from the 2.15.0 tag (fd1610d) and signed with
SignLaunchpad.sh.
