Modpacks from five libraries — and updates in one click

FTB, Technic and ATLauncher

The modpack catalog now has five libraries: Modrinth, CurseForge, FTB, Technic and ATLauncher. Pick one in the Library box, search, click Install.

• FTB — every Feed The Beast pack, filterable by Minecraft version.
• Technic — Tekkit, Hexxit, Attack of the B-Team and the rest of the platform. Technic has no catalogue to browse, so the best-known packs are shown until you search.
• ATLauncher — the full public catalogue, newest first.

A "Modpack" tab for every installed pack

An instance installed from the catalog now remembers where it came from and gets a Modpack tab:

• the pack's name, installed version and a link to its page;
• every version you can move to, with what changed in each;
• Update modpack and Update from file.

Updating replaces the pack's own mods and configs and leaves yours alone: mods you added, worlds, game settings and the server list are kept. The new version is downloaded in full before anything changes, so a failed or cancelled update leaves the instance exactly as it was.

• Installed packs get the pack's own picture as their icon.
• Packs download ten files at a time with one progress bar for the whole pack — FTB packs run to over ten thousand files.
• A server that stops answering no longer holds a download for minutes: connections time out and retry.

Сборки из пяти библиотек — и обновление в один клик

FTB, Technic и ATLauncher

В каталоге сборок теперь пять библиотек: Modrinth, CurseForge, FTB, Technic и ATLauncher. Выберите нужную в поле Библиотека, найдите сборку и нажмите Установить.

• FTB — все сборки Feed The Beast, с фильтром по версии Minecraft.
• Technic — Tekkit, Hexxit, Attack of the B-Team и остальная платформа. Общего каталога у Technic нет, поэтому до поиска показываются самые известные сборки.
• ATLauncher — весь публичный каталог, сначала самые свежие.

Вкладка «Модпак» у каждой установленной сборки

Сборка, установленная из каталога, теперь помнит, откуда она, и получает вкладку «Модпак»:

• название сборки, установленная версия и ссылка на её страницу;
• все версии, на которые можно перейти, и список изменений каждой;
• кнопки «Обновить сборку» и «Обновить из файла».

При обновлении заменяются моды и конфиги самой сборки, а ваше не трогается: добавленные вами моды, миры, настройки игры и список серверов сохраняются. Новая версия сначала скачивается целиком, поэтому если обновление сорвалось или его отменили, сборка остаётся как была.

Ещё

• Установленные сборки получают аватарку сборки как значок.
• Файлы сборки качаются по десять одновременно, а прогресс показывается общий для всей сборки — в сборках FTB бывает больше десяти тысяч файлов.
• Сервер, который перестал отвечать, больше не держит загрузку минутами: соединение обрывается по таймауту и повторяется.

Modpack installs you can watch — and that finish

Installing a modpack now opens a progress window: what stage it is at, how many of the pack's files are done, the file downloading right now with its megabytes, and a Cancel button that cleans up after itself.

CurseForge packs no longer fail at random

• The pack's file list is fetched in a few batch requests instead of one request per mod, so a single dropped connection can no longer throw away a 200-mod pack.
• Every file is retried up to three times, has a timeout instead of hanging forever on a stalled connection, and is checked against its SHA-1.
• Some mod authors only allow downloads through CurseForge's own app. Such a mod used to abort the entire install. Now everything else installs, and a window lists those few files with a Download button for each — save them to your Downloads folder and the launcher moves them into the instance by itself.

• Resource packs and shaders inside CurseForge packs go to their own folders instead of mods/, where they did nothing.

Установка сборок теперь видна — и доходит до конца

При установке модпака открывается окно прогресса: какой идёт этап, сколько файлов сборки уже готово, какой файл качается прямо сейчас и сколько мегабайт осталось, плюс кнопка Отмена, которая убирает недоустановленное за собой.

Сборки с CurseForge больше не падают случайно

• Список файлов сборки запрашивается несколькими пакетными запросами вместо отдельного запроса на каждый мод — один оборвавшийся запрос больше не губит сборку на 200 модов.
• Каждый файл скачивается до трёх попыток, с таймаутом вместо вечного зависания на подвисшем соединении, и сверяется по SHA-1.
• Некоторые авторы модов разрешают скачивание только через приложение CurseForge. Раньше один такой мод обрывал всю установку. Теперь ставится всё остальное, а в отдельном окне перечислены эти файлы с кнопкой Скачать у каждого — сохраните их в папку «Загрузки», и лаунчер сам перенесёт их в сборку.

Ещё

• Ресурспаки и шейдеры из сборок CurseForge кладутся в свои папки, а не в mods/, где они не работали.

The Discord status no longer repeats itself

Discord prints the application's name above the activity by itself, and the launcher was sending "Legism" again directly underneath it. That line now carries the instance name and the Minecraft version it runs — the part the reader does not already know.

An instance named after its own version, which is what the launcher suggests by default, would have repeated itself the same way on the next line, so the version is left out when it matches the name.

Статус в Discord больше не повторяется

Discord печатает название приложения над активностью сам, а лаунчер отправлял «Legism» ещё раз прямо под ним. Теперь в этой строке — название сборки и версия Minecraft, то есть то, чего читатель ещё не видел.

Сборка, названная по своей же версии (а именно так лаунчер предлагает по умолчанию), продублировалась бы точно так же строкой ниже — поэтому версия не выводится, когда совпадает с названием.
