Known issues

• Input voltage reading is not accurate yet (calibrated on a bench power supply only)
• Steering wheel buttons: no button frame received from the MCU yet, mapping untested
• Headlights state (ILL) shows -- until the lights are switched on/off once

TWRP 3.7.1_12 UJC201-AC8257-v1.0-BETA

First working TWRP for UJC201-based Android head units (Autochips AC8257, board JAC_8258C),
sold under many brands (SIXWIN, Podofo, Hikity…).

Tested on: SIXWIN 6+128 GB, stock firmware UJC201-V1.1.35R6-250718_0429 (kernel 4.9.117 #25).
Other firmwares: see Compatibility below.

What works

• ✅ Boots from the recovery partition, Android still boots normally (no bootloop)
• ✅ Display, landscape (rotation 90)
• ✅ Touchscreen + left bezel touch keys (Power, Home, Back, Vol+, Vol−)
• ✅ Brightness slider (the stock driver is inverted; handled)
• ✅ ADB and MTP over the OTG USB port
• ✅ USB drive on the second (host) USB port
• ✅ Advanced → USB: Host mode / PC mode to switch the OTG port
• ✅ /data mounted (not encrypted on this firmware), backup/restore
• ✅ Status bar: CPU temperature + input voltage (2 ADC probes, x | y)
• ✅ Advanced → Power info (Vin / CPU)

Install

⚠️ Make a full eMMC backup with SP Flash Tool first (Readback: EMMC_BOOT_1 0x0/0x400000,
EMMC_USER 0x0/0x1A0000000, and end of disk EMMC_USER 0x1D1A000000/0x4000000).
Also keep a copy of your stock recovery partition.
