FAQ
Design tool or coding-agent tool? An Agent Skill for coding agents. The HTML page is the deliverable.
Do Mark / Direct edit pollute the deliverable? No. They load only via the Author Server. Mark lives in localStorage; Direct edit writes plain text/style changes into the source HTML but the tool itself is never injected.
Why localhost? Saving notes, Direct edit write-back and Inspector need a local process. It binds to 127.0.0.1 and rejects untrusted write requests. Don't point it at untrusted HTML.
Can I edit notes under file://? No, file:// is read-only Viewer.
Port 4178 is busy. Same page → the existing URL is printed. Different page → stop it from its page, or use --port=.
Inspector doesn't open my IDE. Set CODE_EDITOR in <skill-root>/.env (Configuration); on Windows prefer the absolute .exe path.
Screenshot says browser not found. Install Edge/Chrome or pass --browser=<exe>.
resolve-pack exits 2 / list is empty. Install a pack (UI Packs). Agents must ask the user which pack; never hand-write a fake kit.
Exit 4 unsupported schemaVersion. Update the skill; supported versions are 1 and 2.
Own design system? Author a pack with ui-pack-maintain under a namespaced id (Pack Authoring).
Is 0.x stable? No. APIs and layout may change; read the CHANGELOG before upgrading.
