Claude Session Image Audit v0.1.0 · Early preview

A local, read-only CLI for finding embedded image data in Claude Code session JSONL files. It counts image blocks, tool-result images, repeated payloads, and malformed JSON lines. Optional --check-images checks base64, media type, and common image signatures and identifies affected session files.

Install the wheel with Python 3.10+:

python3 -m pip install claude_session_image_audit-0.1.0-py3-none-any.whl
claude-session-image-audit /path/to/session.jsonl --check-images

The structural check does not fully decode an image, call a model provider, determine the cause of an API error, or repair a session. It covers image blocks with base64 sources, not raw strings or other image shapes. The tool does not print image payloads or modify the session.

The wheel was installed and checked against synthetic data on macOS with Python 3.10 and 3.11. Source tests passed in GitHub Actions on Linux with Python 3.10 and 3.12. SHA256SUMS.txt covers the wheel; GitHub-generated source archives are separate.
