HawkEye 1.7.2
HawkEye 1.7.2 for Windows.
New accounts made during the V2 Beta waitlist see a waitlist screen with the date the beta opens, and accounts made before it see no change. The Marketplace opens and scrolls without the wait, gets a tidier layout with a search across the whole shop, and every kit piece has its own card art. Talon’s looks bring their own effects to The Range, the 3D world draws less on every frame, and HawkEye’s window, X link and license checks are harder to misuse.
New:
- New accounts made while HawkEye is in its V2 Beta waitlist see a waitlist screen after they sign in, with the date the beta opens (11.27), a Join the waitlist button, our Discord (/beta), Privacy and Legal (account deletion included) and Sign out. Accounts made before the waitlist see no change.
- Every Talon kit piece in the Marketplace has its own card art: Talon wearing the blade, the wings, the aura, the trail or the emote, in place of a small icon.
- Talon’s looks have their own effects in The Range: a spawn-in when Talon arrives, an emote (Q in free move), an idle flourish and a trail. Rarer looks get bigger effects and a camera shot. Still mode and reduced motion get calm versions with no camera moves. Try them with Preview effects in the Wardrobe.
Improved:
- The Marketplace opens and scrolls without the wait: Talon is drawn only on the cards near your screen, stands still until you point at a card, and a refresh no longer draws every card again.
- A tidier Marketplace: your Feathers and the week’s pick on top, one Limited time row in place of a banner for each season, Skins and Kits as their own tabs, a search across the whole shop, and buttons that take you to Rewards and Plans.
- Your daily Feathers limit now follows your plan: 250 a day on Free, 450 on Pro and 600 on Max (it was 150 for everyone). Rewards shows the limit the server gives your account.
- The Range’s 3D world skips drawing what can’t show on screen, so every frame asks less of your PC. The picture stays the same.
Fixed:
- Talon’s ground effects, like the ring, scorch mark and glow when a look lands, now show. They were drawn facing the ground and the camera never saw them.
- Leaving a world in the sky keeps the screen’s brightness steady: the station under the camera now sinks slowly enough for the swirl to cover it, so the bright sky behind it no longer flashes up.
Security:
- HawkEye’s main window and the sign-in card only ever show HawkEye’s own pages. A file or link dropped on the window, or any other address, is refused, and a web link you click opens in your browser.
- Connecting X now finishes with a 6-digit code: after you approve on X, your browser shows the code and the HawkEye account it is for, and the link happens only when you type it in HawkEye. An X approval someone tricks you into can no longer put your @handle on their profile.
- License checks are limited to 10 an hour per account, so nobody can flood the license service that every sign-in relies on.
- Error reports are deleted after 30 days and security records after 90 every day, as the Privacy Policy says, not only when the team opens them.
- The V2 Beta waitlist form is harder to spam: a form sent by a script is set aside, and only new sign-ups count toward the busy limit, so a flood of fake ones can’t close it for everyone.
