v4.11.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 28 Oct 19:29

Changelog — 4.11.0

Released: 2026-10-28

Every /identity sub-command checks its own permission node, and the largest classes are
split into single-responsibility helpers with behaviour and public API unchanged.

Changed

  • Permissions (#138) — /identity, help, wiki, check, unequip, stats and alias now
    check their own mcoriax.mcidentity.command.* node (default true); get and base
    check theirs (default op). Before, only get and base were checked, against
    mcoriax.mcidentity.admin.
  • mcoriax.mcidentity.* now lists command.alias, command.get and command.base.
  • The pre-prefix mcidentity.admin node is declared again as an op parent of
    mcoriax.mcidentity.admin and accepted for get and base, so an old grant keeps working.
  • Tab completion and /identity help show only the sub-commands the sender may run.
  • Internals (#139) — AbstractSqlDB, MongoDB and AbstractMCIdentityPlugin delegate to
    package-private helpers; the key, session, stats and profession views every backend built
    on its own are now common.model records. No config key, schema, message or public
    method changed.

Added

  • Permissions.grants, Permissions.grantsAnyAdministrative, Permissions.SUB_COMMANDS and
    Permissions.LEGACY_ADMIN in bukkit.
  • PermissionsTest, checking the four plugin.yml files against Permissions.

v4.10.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 26 Oct 12:36

Changelog — 4.10.0

Released: 2026-10-26

MCIdentity reads each of the nine modalities in its agents block on its own, and resolves a
global modality from MCAgents 6.3.0's per-modality settings.

Changed

  • agents block (#136) — text, image, video, speech, decisions, embeddings,
    rerank, transcription and audio are each read on their own. A value other than
    global is used as written; an agents.model left over from an older config.yml is read
    as the text model.
  • MCAgentsGlobal (#136) — a global modality resolves from MCAgents'
    getAgents{Modality}() getters (6.3.0), then from agents.{modality} in MCAgents' own
    config.yml, then, for the text model only, from getAgentsModel() (6.2.0) or the provider's
    default on older MCAgents.
  • The plugin's agent work runs on the text model, as before (#136).
  • The config.yml comment and the configuration docs no longer say the modalities are unread
    (#136).

v4.9.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 25 Oct 22:54

Changelog — 4.9.0

Released: 2026-10-25

Adds an agents block to config.yml that picks the AI model and OpenRouter key
MCIdentity's agent work runs on. Both default to global, which shares whatever
MCAgents itself is configured with, so the owner sets the model and key once for the
whole server. Server owners: nothing to do; existing servers keep today's behaviour.
Requires MCPaimon/mcagents 6.2.0 for the global lookup, and falls back on older
MCAgents builds.

Added

  • agents.model and agents.token in the spigotmc, papermc and foliamc config.yml
    copies, both global by default (#133).
  • AgentsSettings and MCAgentsGlobal (bukkit, package config): read the block
    (model lower-cased) and resolve global at runtime from MCAgents' getAgentsModel()
    / getAgentsToken() by reflection, falling back to the provider's
    getDefaultModel() / getServerApiKey() on MCAgents older than 6.2.0 (#133).
  • AbstractMCIdentityPlugin#getAgentsSettings(), getAgentsModel() and
    getAgentsToken(); the plugin logs which model is in use on enable, never the key
    (#133).
  • bukkit gains JUnit 6.1.0 and AgentsSettingsTest (#133).
  • .agents/memory/tasks/agents-config.md, the task record for this release (#132).

Changed

  • wiki/environments/env.md documents the agents block and what global means;
    wiki/guides/testing.md and the agent repository map list the new tests (#133).

v4.8.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 25 Oct 15:00

Changelog — 4.8.0

Released: 2026-10-25

Builds against the Minecraft 26.3 server APIs, lets a player ask an MCAgents AI about
their own identity through two read-only tools, and moves releasing onto the shared
MCEngine/actions workflows, which now publish only after a release/{version} pull
request merges. Server owners: nothing to do; the MCAgents tools appear only when
MCAgents is installed. Maintainers: a version bump merged from any branch other than
release/{version} no longer publishes.

Added

  • tools module (io.github.mcoriax.mcidentity.tools) with two read-only, player-only
    MCAgents tools, mcidentity_get_my_identity and mcidentity_get_my_stats. Both read
    the RAM session cache only and refuse any caller that is not an online player. The
    module is bundled into the universal jar by platforms:engine and is not published.
  • MCAgentsToolRegistrar and BukkitIdentityToolPort (bukkit, package
    bridge.mcagents) register the tools with MCAgents by reflection at the end of
    onEnable; without MCAgents the plugin logs one info line and carries on.
  • softdepend: [MCAgents] in all four plugin.yml files.
  • wiki/reference/agent-tools.md — what the tools return and who can use them.

Changed

  • The spigotmc, papermc and foliamc platforms compile against the Minecraft 26.3 APIs
    (spigot 26.3-R0.1-SNAPSHOT, paper 26.3.build, folia 26.3.build.5-alpha, as
    Folia has no stable 26.3 build yet). bukkit now declares org.jetbrains:annotations
    as compileOnly, because spigot-api 26.3 no longer supplies it.
  • .github/workflows/publish.yml and release.yml are thin callers of the shared
    workflows in MCEngine/actions; the Release caller grants packages: read.
  • Publish runs only when a pull request from a release/{version} branch merges to
    master, and fails when {version} is not the merged project-version; any other
    push or merge publishes nothing, and workflow_dispatch on master retries. Release
    follows Publish runs on release/** and master.
  • The Publish workflow that builds, publishes and tags automatically (#122, renamed to
    publish.yml in #123) shipped with tag v4.7.0 but is missing from the 4.7.0 log,
    which was written before it merged; it is recorded here instead.

v4.7.0

Changelog — 4.7.0

Released: 2026-10-11

Publishes the central-server transport as a reusable class, so the add-on plugins
can stop carrying a copy each. No plugin behavior changed. Add-on authors: nothing
to do until you choose to depend on it; the class lives in the published common
module.

Added

  • CentralHttpClient (common, package central) — the pooled, no-redirect,
    bearer-authenticated HTTP client with send, write, read, checkHealth,
    pingHealth and close.
  • CentralHttpClientTest — five tests covering authentication, read fallbacks,
    write logging and the health probes.

Changed

  • MCIdentityCentralServer delegates all transport to CentralHttpClient and
    keeps only the protocol mapping. Transport failures are now logged under the
    logger name CentralHttpClient instead of MCIdentityCentralServer; a log
    filter keyed on the old name needs updating.
