Openbar for Mac 3.5.0 beta 1

The first Openbar build for Mac you can download instead of building. Your coding agents live in the Dynamic Island: when one needs you, the island opens with the request in full. The whole menu bar toolkit comes with it.

Install

You need macOS 14 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon.

1. Download Vorssaint-3.5.0-beta.1.dmg from Assets below, open it and drag Vorssaint to Applications.
2. This build isn't notarized by Apple yet, so macOS will refuse to open it the first time. Go to System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down and choose Open Anyway. Or run this once in Terminal:

   xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Vorssaint.app

3. Grant the permissions it asks for (Accessibility and the others each feature needs).

Warning

The app is still named Vorssaint and shares the official Vorssaint app's identity. Installing it replaces an official Vorssaint in Applications. Openbar is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Vorssaint maintainer.

Updates: the app checks Openbar's releases. When a new one is out, Install opens its release page so you can download the DMG.

Sessions

• Every agent session on your Mac, beside the camera. Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI and Cursor in one list, each with its folder, branch and what it's doing.
• Allow, Deny or Always with the whole command in view. A file edit shows as a diff, removed lines in red and added in green. ⌘Y ⌘N ⌘T work from any app.
• Answer a session's questions, reply from the island into its own terminal or editor (Terminal, iTerm2, Ghostty, tmux, WezTerm, kitty and code editors), and approve Claude's plan.
• Watch a session enlarged with its tools, tasks, cost and model. Subagents get rows of their own, background sessions (claude --bg) and New session too.
• Plan limits beside the sessions.
• A Clawd for every session in a random costume, with superhero accessories and its agent's mark. Dress it up.

Also new

• Discord microphone mute and deafen status in the island.
• Downloads watches the folders every major browser saves to, and Chromium downloads show a real percentage and file name.
• Camera preview can show your image unmirrored.
• A larger Now Playing page with scrolling titles.
• Fixes for the mixer, Monitor settings, Wallpaper's file picker, Quit Protection and Command Bar.

Privacy

No telemetry, no analytics, no account. Prompts, replies and command output stay hidden unless you turn on previews, and a permission prompt always shows what it would run.

Openbar for Windows 0.2.0 (beta)

Openbar for Windows 0.2.0 catches the island up with the Mac. Every section has arrived, Sessions now covers six coding agents, and file edits show up as a diff before you allow them.

1. Download the installer for your PC from Assets below and run it. If 0.1.0 is installed, run the new installer over it; your settings stay.
2. The installer isn't signed yet, so Windows may say Windows protected your PC. Choose More info, then Run anyway.
3. It installs for your account only and starts the island when it's done. Click the island or press Ctrl+Alt+Space.

Sessions

• Six agents in one list. Gemini CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenCode and Cursor join Claude Code and Codex, each with its own mark, color and pixel figure. They connect by themselves once installed.
• See the change before you allow it. A request to edit or write a file shows a diff on the permission card: removed lines in red, added in green, with line numbers.
• Approve Claude's plan from the island, and background sessions (claude --bg) with a New session button.
• Plan limits beside the sessions, and a session stopped by its limit says so.
• Open and Reply also reach WezTerm, tmux and code editors.
• Each session's Clawd wears its agent's mark, and the closed island stacks Claude's and Codex's marks while both work.
• Superhero accessories in the wardrobe, notices that show their Clawd and open their session, and sleeping sessions dimmed as a whole row.

The rest of the island

• Every section is here: Timer, Calendar, System, Controls and Mixer, Tools, Clipboard, Files, Scratchpad, AI Agents and Watch.
• Screen capture and screen recording, with controls at the top of the selection and keys 1–4.
• Camera preview with a device picker, synchronized lyrics and Up next for Spotify.
• System: GPU and per-app network lists, memory details, battery health and cycle count, a network speed test and a button to open Task Manager.
• Mixer options from the Mac: lower the speakers when headphones disconnect, 1% volume steps, an output-switch shortcut and audio priority lists.
• Codex accounts: a limits card for each CODEX_HOME.
• All displays: show the island on the main display, the one under the pointer or every display, following plug and resolution changes.
• Gestures: scroll down over the island to open it, swipe over the music to change tracks.
• The closed island can rest with battery, music, AI Agents or nothing, with a low-battery tint.
• Downloads: open or show a finished file, add folders from the page, and a short notice when a download completes.
• A companion who lives in the island and reacts to what you do. Turn it on in Settings › Companion.
• Discord mute and deafen status, a preview of a held notification, Install the IDE bridge from Settings, and Clawd running at half the frame rate in Energy saver.

Privacy

Nothing the island reads leaves your PC: no telemetry, no analytics, no account. The online parts (lyrics, Up next artwork, the speed test, the daily price list) are listed in the Windows README, and lyrics stay off until you allow them.

Not yet

• Notifications and Calendar need the signed identity package, which these installers don't carry yet; their pages say so.
• There are no automatic updates. Run the newer installer over the old one.
• The installer and the settings window are in English.
• Claude Code hooks and replies typed into Windows Terminal haven't been tested end to end on Windows yet. Codex is.

Openbar for Windows 0.1.0 (beta)

The first build of the Dynamic Island for Windows 11: a notch at the top of your screen with your music, your notifications and every Claude Code and Codex session, one click away. It's a beta, so some sections still show a placeholder (see below).

Click the island to open it, or press Ctrl+Alt+Space from any app. Its settings open from the gear beside it. To remove it, use Settings › Apps › Installed apps › Vorssaint › Uninstall.

What's in it

• The island. A black notch hanging from the top edge (or a floating capsule), which opens into pages and steps aside for apps in full screen.
• Now Playing. Spotify, a browser or Media Player beside the camera with the cover and moving bars, and a player page with scrubbing, shuffle and playback controls.
• Notifications. New Windows notifications as a banner in the island and cards on its page. Mirroring needs a signed package this installer doesn't carry yet, so for now the page explains what's missing.
• Claude Code and Codex sessions in one list. Each session's folder, branch and state. Allow, Deny or Always for its permission prompts with the whole command in view, answers to its questions, replies typed in the island, and Open to bring its terminal forward. Clawd for Claude Code and a terminal robot for Codex, each in an outfit you can change.
  • Claude Code: in the island's settings, go to Content › Sessions and choose Install hooks.
  • Codex: nothing to install.
• Settings. Size, shape, sections and their order, opening, display, Start with Windows and more, in a window that follows your light or dark theme.

• Codex sessions are tested end to end on Windows. Claude Code's hooks and replies typed into Windows Terminal haven't been tested end to end on Windows yet.
• The installer and settings are in English.
