Fortland 1.5 Dev Test
Fortland Android test build, version 1.5 (version code 6). The APK is debug-signed because no release signing key is configured. Installing over a release-signed version may require uninstalling the older app first, which removes its local data.
Fortland 1.3 (anime app)
Fortland, an anime app for Android 10 and newer.
New in 1.3
- Big card: tap any small card (Random picks, the Discover rows, Browse, Collection or Schedule) and it pops up large and easy to read: the title, score, episodes and genres over the cover.
- Swipe left or right to move through the list it came from.
- Tap the heart to save it straight away, or Details for everything else (trailer, where to watch, episodes).
- Tap outside the card or press Back to close it.
- Fixes for the Discover rows.
To install
Download Fortland.apk below and wait until the download has fully finished (about 26 MB). Then tap it, allow installing from this source if Android asks, and tap Install. It installs over 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 and keeps your saved collection.

Good to know
- "Sign in with Google" in Settings isn't switched on yet.
- This is a preview for friends to try: if something looks wrong or feels slow, say what you were doing and which phone you have.
DevPlant v0.1.2 (iPhone preview)
The first iPhone version of DevPlant. It does the same things as the Android app: scan leaves, keep a history, manage fields, look things up in the pest and disease guide, check the dashboard, and browse the 600-plant catalogue. It also has the same glass control menu as Android.
This is a preview. It runs inside the free Expo Go app, and a computer has to be running the launcher while you use it.
How to run it on an iPhone
The zip has a READ-ME-FIRST.txt with the same steps in plain words.
-
On the iPhone, install Expo Go from the App Store.
-
On a Mac or Windows PC, download DevPlant-iPhone-v0.1.2.zip below and unzip it.
-
Start it:
- Mac: double-click
START-MAC.command. If macOS blocks it, right-click it, choose Open, then click Open. - Windows: double-click
START-WINDOWS.bat.
The first run installs Node.js and the app's packages, which takes a few minutes.
- Mac: double-click
-
When the QR code appears, scan it with the iPhone camera. DevPlant opens in Expo Go.
Keep the iPhone on the same Wi-Fi as the computer. If it won't connect, answer Y when the launcher asks about tunnel mode.
To update later, download the newest zip and run the launcher again.
Android users: the APK is on the v0.1.1 release.
DevPlant v0.1.1 (preview)
Second preview of DevPlant: smartphone-based crop pest and disease early detection.
Install: download DevPlant-v0.1.1.apk below and open it on an Android 10+ phone. If you have v0.1.0, it installs as an update and keeps your scans and fields.
What's new
- New bottom menu: Home, Security, Fields and More. More opens a grid with Alerts, Location, Share, Settings, Camera, Add, Catalog and Active Profile. Tiles for features not built yet say "coming soon".
- Frosted-glass menu that blurs the page behind it (Android 12 and newer; older phones get a plain tint).
- New DevPlant logo (five leaves and a P) in the header and as the app icon.
- The app now opens on Home (field health). Settings moved from the top bar into the menu.
Limitations
- No trained AI model is bundled yet. Diagnosis uses a colour-based stand-in that only tells "healthy", "leaf spot" and "yellowing" apart. Do not rely on it for real crops.
- History has no menu button yet; swipe between screens to reach it.
- Treatment advice is general; confirm with a local extension officer.
- Not yet tested on a wide range of phones.
DevPlant v0.1.0 (preview)
First preview of DevPlant: smartphone-based crop pest and disease early detection.
This build shows the four-module architecture (mixes, contracts, app, gates) working end to end, fully offline.
Install: download DevPlant-v0.1.0.apk below and open it on an Android 10+ phone. You may need to allow installing apps from your browser or file manager.
What works
- Scan a leaf with the camera (or pick a photo), get a diagnosis, severity and treatment advice
- History of past scans by date
- Fields: add your plots and tag scans to them
- Pest and disease guide: 6 crops, 13 diseases, 7 pests, with treatments
- Outbreak warnings when a problem repeats in a field or a scan finds severe damage
- Field health dashboard, search, light and dark theme
