v0.2.1 — integration repaired, CI green
What changed: the DSH plugin and bridge shipped in v0.2.0 with broken kernel import paths (the plugin could not load at all); CI was red on every commit due to a rejected workflow file. Both fixed and proven.
Install: git clone https://github.com/MajidAsghariTabrizi/credence — tools credence_ask / credence_learn / credence_pulse mount via integrations/deepseek-harness.
Working example (verified end to end):
CREDENCE_HOME=.credence-demo node integrations/deepseek-harness/harness-bridge.ts ask ground-control 'how much does the star tracker drift per sol?'
→ state: supported, claim, basis, evidence refs
Authority behavior (verified): an agent calling credence_learn gets DENIED - the proposal is recorded and awaits owner approval; nothing self-commits.
Tests: 13/13 green incl. new plugin regression suite that loads the real plugin file through host shims. CI green on Node 22/24, Linux/Windows.
Known limitation: the plugin has not yet been mounted inside a released DSH profile in CI - tracked in #6 with acceptance criteria.
v0.2.0 — the DSH plugin
The distribution release: credence is now a real DeepSeek Harness tool plugin.
- credence_ask — graded answer or UNKNOWN with the reason
- credence_learn — agent proposes, gets DENIED by design, owner approves
- credence_pulse — ledger health + mission state
Also in this release: KILL->RESUME replay asset in the README first viewport (real captured output, real PIDs), shareable concept cards, contributor-ready good-first issues (#2, #4), and a searchable repo description.
Try the signature demo (still zero-install, no API key):
git clone https://github.com/MajidAsghariTabrizi/credence
npm run demo:kill
DSH plugin: integrations/deepseek-harness/ — experimental (first end-to-end mount tracked in #6). Independent project, not affiliated with DeepSeek.
v0.1.0 — the evidence ledger
First public release.
MOST AGENTS REMEMBER TEXT. THIS ONE REMEMBERS EVIDENCE.
credence is a durable cognitive runtime for long-running AI agents: an append-only knowledge ledger where every claim carries graded support, evidence, and provenance; UNKNOWN is a first-class answer; corrections supersede without erasing; learning passes an authority gate; and missions resume after kill -9.
Four signature moments, all deterministic, no API key:
npm run demo:unknown # hearsay without evidence -> UNKNOWN, with the reason
npm run demo:contradiction # counter-evidence -> superseded, history kept
npm run demo:kill # hard-kill mid-mission -> clean process resumes and finishes
npm run demo:governed # worker learns -> DENIED -> owner commits -> worker reuses it
Zero dependencies. Node >= 22.6. Seeded benchmark in-repo: unknown-detection 1.00, hallucination 0, recall 0.65, p95 ~1.6 ms.
What is deliberately NOT in v0.1.0: embeddings, reflex layer, packaged harness plugin - see the honest status table in the README.
