BEE 1.1: a free 3D robot simulator for the 2026–27 season, as a standalone app. Nothing to install: the Java runtime is included, so your TeamCode compiles and runs without a JDK.

What's new in 1.1

  • Webcams: VisionPortal with AprilTagProcessor (and the color locator) now run in Test in sim. A webcam on your robot sees the field's AprilTags, with their real pose.
  • Closer to a real Control Hub:
    • every hardware read takes time, like on the hub (bulk caching included), so dead-wheel odometry behaves as on the robot;
    • the hub's voltage sensor is named "Control Hub";
    • ServoImplEx / setPwmRange (Axon), RobotLog and android.graphics.Color are there;
    • motor current follows what the controller applies.
  • SHOOT n fires exactly n pieces, with intake-fed and servo-fed launchers and with several turrets.
  • Auto Builder:
    • TOGETHER (ANY) works in Export for my code;
    • Pedro 3 constants for 2 / 3 dead wheels;
    • the same time limits everywhere;
    • time-based autos land closer to their points.
  • Beta lab robot setup:
    • many import fixes;
    • Back → Continue keeps your edits;
    • the export keeps a .bak copy of any team file it replaces;
    • controller B closes only the window on top.

First start. The app is not signed yet.

  • Windows: SmartScreen → More info → Run anyway.
  • macOS: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
  • Linux: run BEE/BEE.x86_64 and keep java/ and runtime/ next to it.

On an Intel Mac, install a JDK 17+ (adoptium.net) first.

Your robots, autos and settings are saved in your user folder (Godot/app_userdata/ftc_project), so this version keeps the ones you made with 1.0.

Licenses. Made with the Godot Engine (MIT). The bundled Java runtime is Eclipse Temurin 21 (GPLv2 with the Classpath Exception; source: https://github.com/adoptium/jdk21u). The libraries in java/lib keep their own licenses.
