Welcome to the initial release of Scripture Linker! This plugin is designed to streamline your Bible study workflow within Obsidian by automatically detecting and linking Bible references.
Key Features
- Automatic Reference Detection: Scans your notes for standard and abbreviated Bible references (e.g., John 3:16, Gen 1:1, 1 Cor 13).
- Contextual Parsing: Intelligent detection of shorthand references like (10:7) when a book context (like 1 Samuel) has already been established.
- Multiple Translations:
- ESV, NASB95, NIV 2011, KJV 1900, NKJV, MSG, LSB, and LEB.
- Dual Service Support: Link your references to Logos Bible Software (ref.ly), Bolls Bible, or show both services side-by-side.
- Ribbon & Command Support: Quick access via a ribbon icon or dedicated commands to scan entire files or just selected text.
- Smart Link Detection: Automatically ignores references that are already part of existing markdown links to prevent duplication.
