- I definitely want to be better at checking in early and often to make sure my team is getting the support they need
- I also want to focus on effectively communicating internal deadlines to make sure if there are hiccups we can get past them before the main deadline of the due date
My experience of being a scrum was: Insightful, I learned a lot about scheduling, scheduling conflicts and how to run a scrum meeting. I think I could easily translate those skills to the workforce and take over as scrum lead for a team in the future.
Getting my team to participate was relatively easy, I have a good team and it is important to not take it for granted. They were all communicative and honest with me about scheduling. We could have probably conversed in discord more but we were all doing really well solving our issues.
One of my strengths was having leadership roles in the past. Knowing a little bit about how people work from my past experience translated really well into a leadership role here. If I could improve something for next time I would do my scrum documents a little differently and earlier while things are fresh in the mind.
For the next scrum lead I recommend using what already exists in the team, no need to reinvent the wheel. Grab the documents and fill them out during the scrum meeting so details don't get lost.
