Instagram downloads now try VideoDropper first, then the existing extractors if it fails.

  • Added the encrypted URL resolver with a 20-second deadline and bounded JSON responses.
  • Kept public URL/DNS checks, streaming size limits, cancellation and artifact validation.
  • INSTAGRAM_PROXY_FIRST now places the configured proxy after VideoDropper. Use DISABLED_ENGINES=videodropper to disable the new engine.
  • Preserved the version 1 API job/result contract.

Validation: 175 local tests, 22 focused Linux tests, and real API downloads through PostgreSQL, Redis and R2. Private video, public video with preview, audio-only and thumbnail output were checked. Production verification passed after deployment.
