Smart Villagers AI 1.1.6
Smart Villagers AI 1.1.6
- Add Minecraft 26.3 support on Fabric and NeoForge, matching the existing 26.2 MultiLoader workspace.
- Keep Minecraft 1.20.1 (Fabric/Forge), 1.21.1 (Fabric/Forge/NeoForge) and 26.2 (Fabric/NeoForge).
- No gameplay changes. Villager chat, AI providers, privacy consent and optional Simple Voice Chat speech are unchanged.
Supports Minecraft 1.20.1 (Fabric/Forge), 1.21.1 (Fabric/Forge/NeoForge), 26.2 (Fabric/NeoForge) and 26.3 (Fabric/NeoForge).
Smart Villagers AI 1.1.4
Smart Villagers AI 1.1.4
- Put your DeepSeek key in
config/smartvillagers/config.tomlasai.apiKey(or keep usingDEEPSEEK_API_KEY/secrets.toml). - DeepSeek thinking is fully off so replies are not empty. Default model remains
deepseek-flash. - Villagers get a visible nametag from their persona.
- Stand next to a villager and chat — you no longer need a perfect crosshair.
- New command:
/villagerai test(op). Stand next to a villager; it prints identity, API key source, and whether Simple Voice Chat is ready, then forces a reply. - Fix replies being silently dropped: the delay queue was ticked once per dimension (overworld + nether + end), so the villager lookup often ran in the wrong world.
/villagerai testnow prints the reply andVoice spoken: yes/nodirectly. - Villagers now read the reply out loud on Windows using the system TTS voice, played through Simple Voice Chat. Unmute the Smart Villagers volume category if you still hear nothing.
Voice still needs Simple Voice Chat on the server and client. Without it, villagers stay text-only and /villagerai test reports Simple Voice Chat: missing (text only).
Smart Villagers AI 1.1.2 — Config load fix
Smart Villagers AI 1.1.2
- Fix config load crash: Night-Config stores
ai.playerCooldownMs = 3000as Integer, but the mod cast it as Long and fell back to defaults (reload broken). - Warn-log DeepSeek HTTP failures (wrong
ai.model/ key issues). - Warn-log voice TTS/playback failures;
/villagerai debugshows real pending and in-flight counts.
Recommended model: deepseek-chat (not deepseek-flash).
Smart Villagers AI 1.1.1 — Voice Chat soft-dep fix
Smart Villagers AI 1.1.1
- Fix Forge/NeoForge optional Simple Voice Chat dependency version range.
- Simple Voice Chat reports versions like
1.21.1-2.5.35, so the old[2.5.0,)range wrongly blocked the mod when Voice Chat was installed. - Soft-dep remains optional: without Simple Voice Chat the mod stays text-only.
Smart Villagers AI 1.1.0 — Optional Simple Voice Chat
Optional spoken villager replies via Simple Voice Chat.
- Text chat remains the default. Simple Voice Chat is a soft dependency: if the mod is missing, villagers stay text-only, nothing crashes, and one startup log line reports that voice is unavailable.
- Nearby players hear a built-in villager voice through Simple Voice Chat entity audio when
voice.enabled = true. - Config keys (written under
[voice]inconfig/smartvillagers/config.toml):voice.enabledvoice.volumevoice.range(0=proximity.responseRadius)voice.fallbackToText
- Language follows the AI reply and the player's Minecraft locale. There is no separate TTS language setting.
/villagerai statusreports voice config and whether Simple Voice Chat is present.- Existing
config.tomlfiles gain a[voice]section on next load if it is missing.
Minecraft 1.21.1 — pick the jar that matches your loader (Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge). Fabric also needs Fabric API.
