v1.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@MichaelRo MichaelRo released this 02 Nov 08:07
38fe8e1

Pesto 1.2.0 adds multi-device sync, a redesigned backup pane, and dedicated importers for eleven clipboard managers.

What's new in 1.2.0

• Multi-device sync: keep your history matching across your Macs. Sync is off by default, folder-based in iCloud Drive, and end-to-end encrypted with your key.
• Redesigned backup: Backup is one switch under a summary card in Settings, under Data. A restore shows counts before it writes, and you can move your backup folder.
• Dedicated importers: import history from Paste, Maccy, Alfred, CleanClip, PasteNow, CopyClip, PastePal, Pastebot, Clipy, Flycut, and Unclutter, plus CSV/JSON/text files and Raycast snippets.
• Shelf cards: Decode JWT inspects a token's header and payload from a card. Lone emojis and symbols display on dedicated glyph cards.
• Snippets: rich-text snippet expansion supports {{clipboard}} and {{uuid}} placeholders, and fill-in fields.

Pesto 1.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@MichaelRo MichaelRo released this 28 Oct 22:08
70204d2

Pesto 1.1.0 adds Smart Snippets and makes the shelf and first run feel more natural.

What's new in 1.1.0

  • Smart Snippets: fill-ins that Pesto asks for when you paste, suggestions for look-alike text pasted over several days, and a redesigned snippet editor.
  • Shelf app chips: the name opens in place when you point at a chip; neighbors move aside instead of being covered.
  • Shelf suggestions: a declined suggestion comes back once, and more pastes count toward offering a shortcut.
  • First run: arrow keys move between pages, you can go back, Esc closes, and the card strip drifts more slowly and keeps your scroll direction.
  • About: Esc closes the window.

Pesto 1.0.0

Choose a tag to compare

@MichaelRo MichaelRo released this 23 Oct 18:08

The first release of Pesto, a clipboard manager that keeps your history on your Mac, encrypted. See CHANGELOG.md for what it does.

Install

  1. Download Pesto-1.0.0.dmg and open it, then drag Pesto onto Applications.
  2. This build is signed with a self-signed identity, not an Apple Developer ID, so macOS may say it could not verify Pesto. Choose Done, open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, choose Open Anyway, and enter your Mac password. The button appears only after you have tried to open Pesto once.

The second command should show Authority=Pesto Release and TeamIdentifier=not set. There is no notarization or stapled ticket in this release, so spctl and stapler do not apply. Builds are not reproducible bit for bit, because signatures carry timestamps.
