v0.1.1 beta

@MildRain479 MildRain479 released this 04 Nov 02:02

Fixes and graphics improvements, for Windows and Android. As before, no game data is included: you need your own disc image of PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure (USA, R8AE01).

What's new

  • Photos: pictures taken with the in-game camera (minus) are saved properly and show up correctly in the album. Photos taken with 0.1.0 were saved scrambled and stay that way; new ones are fine.
  • Fog is drawn, as on the Wii.
  • Indirect texturing, which some of the game's effects use, is drawn in both renderers.
  • Sound: the game's own audio effects (such as reverb) are mixed in.
  • Update check: the game checks GitHub for a newer release when it starts and names it above the Options plank on the save file screen. Nothing is downloaded. Turn it off in Options > Display > Updates.

Windows: unzip PokePark-Wiicompiled-v0.1.1-beta-windows-x64.zip over your old folder (your saves and settings are kept) and run PokePark.exe.

Android: install PokePark-Wiicompiled-v0.1.1-beta-android-arm64.apk over the old app; your saves are kept.

Please report problems in Issues: what you did and what happened, a screenshot if you can, and your Windows version, graphics card and Renderer setting (Options > Display), or your phone's model and Android version.

@MildRain479 MildRain479 released this 03 Nov 20:59

First open beta, for Windows and Android. No game data is included: you need your own disc image of PokePark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure (USA, R8AE01), which the game asks for the first time it runs.

Windows: unzip PokePark-Wiicompiled-v0.1.0-beta-windows-x64.zip and run PokePark.exe. Needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a graphics card with Vulkan 1.3 or OpenGL 3.3. See README.txt in the zip for settings and known gaps.

Android: install PokePark-Wiicompiled-v0.1.0-beta-android-arm64.apk on your phone (allow installing apps from your browser or file manager when asked). Needs Android 11 or later on a 64-bit phone with Vulkan 1.3. Play with the touch controls or a controller. Tested on one phone so far (Adreno 830 GPU).

Please report problems in Issues: what you did and what happened, a screenshot if you can, and your Windows version, graphics card and Renderer setting (Options > Display), or your phone's model and Android version.
