UwUMirror 0.1.0-beta.1
Deutsch
English
The first beta ✧
- AirPlay screen mirroring from iPhone, iPad and Mac: UwUMirror shows up under Screen Mirroring like an Apple TV, in your own network, no cloud, no account
- With sound: for AirPlay's sound UwUMirror uses FFmpeg's libavcodec, which has to be installed on the computer (on Linux the ffmpeg package, on macOS
brew install ffmpeg, on Windowswinget install Gyan.FFmpeg.Shared). Without it you get the picture without sound, and UwUMirror says why - AirPlay audio: music and podcasts from the iPhone play here, without a picture too
- Android over wireless debugging: pair once with a QR code, or use a USB cable. With sound on Android 11 and newer
- For that UwUMirror needs
adb. On Windows, macOS and Linux x64 it downloads Google's platform-tools itself if you want; on Linux arm64adbcomes from your distribution's package (adborandroid-tools) - Its own installer with Nyu, no admin rights needed, for Windows (x64 and ARM) and macOS; for Linux .deb, .rpm, a portable version and a PKGBUILD for Arch (the AUR package follows)
- A log for bug reports: Settings → General → Log
- Not in yet: automatic updates – install a new version over the old one
- To be honest: UwUMirror hasn't met a real iPhone or Android phone yet, only simulated ones. If something doesn't work, an issue with the log helps a lot

Windows: if it warns that it "protected your PC", More info → Run anyway. If the firewall asks on the first start, allow private networks.
macOS: open the .dmg and start UwUMirror Setup. UwUMirror isn't notarized by Apple (no developer ID): if macOS says it can't check the app, allow it under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
Linux: the .deb and .rpm install system-wide (AirPlay sound needs FFmpeg, Android needs adb); the portable one you just unpack and start with ./UwUMirror/uwumirror.
UwUMirror doesn't update itself yet: for a new version, install the new setup or package over the old one.
