AutoApply v0.1.5 (beta)
What's new in 0.1.5 (beta)
Review says when a job can't be sent yet, and why (fixes #4)
- You can apply to a company once every 30 days. Jobs that would break that rule no longer look approvable and then fail. They move to the bottom of Review with the date they can go: "You applied to Prodigal on Oct 12. I can send this from Nov 11." Choose Keep for Nov 11 or Skip. The job becomes sendable by itself on that date.
- If I'm not sure an earlier application to the same company went through, Review asks: It went through / It didn't go through. Your answer clears the hold.
- Approving several jobs sends everything that can go and explains anything held back. With two jobs at the same company, the best-ranked one goes.
- An application interrupted mid-submit no longer blocks its company indefinitely.
- Settings → Guardrails explains the per-company rule. You can change it or turn it off there.
See what I'm doing in Cold Email
- When I look for startups, companies or people, a status line in Companies shows each step, e.g. "YC's directory: 12 found · reading funding news (2 of 3)". When I'm waiting, it says why: the browser is busy applying, I'm paused, or today's Google limit is used and I'll continue tomorrow.
- Companies I'm looking into show "Finding people…" or "Google results queued", including for Find people at the top 5.
- Cold Email in the sidebar shows a spinner while I work and a clock while I wait. When I finish with a company you see a toast, like "Found 3 people at Patang AI".
Upgrading: 0.1.1 and later update themselves. Your data is kept.
AutoApply v0.1.4 (beta)
What's new in 0.1.4 (beta)
Cold Email
- Startups near you. In Cold Email → Prospects, find startups in your country (your profile location by default), from YC's company directory and from funding news (Inc42, Entrackr and YourStory for India). Each one shows its last round, amount, date, investors, YC batch, team size and city, with a link to the source. Nothing is guessed: a fact that isn't on the source page stays blank.
- Ranked with reasons. Every startup gets a 0–100 score from how recently it raised, its stage, its investors, YC backing, team size and open roles that match you, combined with how well it fits you. Filters: YC only, hiring now, stage.
- People to email. "Find people at the top 5" looks for contacts at your best-ranked startups. At small startups it looks for founders and engineering leads first.
- Referrals by location. A startup's page lists your LinkedIn connections who work there, and people at that company in your city.
- One focused screen. Cold Email is now a single "Up next" queue: drafts waiting for your OK, replies, and follow-ups. Each draft looks like the email it will be, with unsupported claims underlined.
- Warm intros from your LinkedIn connections export.
Review and Needs You
- Approve waits five seconds with Undo before anything is sent. In the new ticket style, tear the stub to approve.
- Draft with AI in Needs You: the agent writes an answer from your profile and resume, and you refine it by asking ("shorter", "mention my Kafka project"). Drafts appear as grey text: Tab takes it, typing replaces it.
- One answer can send several jobs back to the queue at once, and you see them go.
Your day
- Today's ten minutes. A Dashboard briefing lists what's waiting with rough time estimates. Start walks you through each item.
- Today so far. A timeline of today's applications, replies and follow-ups, with a "now" marker.
- Kinder rejections. Rejections never notify you and are never red. Rejected and ghosted jobs fold into a quiet "Closed" drawer on the board.
- Notifications you can act on. Answer short questions and approve confident applications right from a notification.
- The agent now speaks as "I" and says what to do next.
Auto mode, earned per site
- After 10 approvals in a row on a job site without editing an answer, the app offers to turn on Auto for that site. It's always your choice, in Settings → Modes. New installs start in Review; your current mode is kept.
Also
- Explore with sample data during onboarding, before you set anything up.
- Match scores show the evidence behind them. Also new: interview prep packs, insights from your own outcomes, and job boards on Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable and Recruitee.
- New app icon, one motion language across the app, and sound levels (Off / Moments only / All).
- Fixed: the sidebar could briefly show "Can't reach the agent" right after connecting.
Upgrading: 0.1.1 and later update themselves. Your data is kept and migrated automatically.
AutoApply v0.1.3 (beta)
What's new in 0.1.3 (beta)
The agent creates accounts for you
- When a job site wants an account before it shows the form (Workday, iCIMS, Taleo…), the agent signs up with your connected email, confirms it from your inbox, and carries on with the application. If the email is already registered, it resets the password through the emailed link.
- Every site gets its own random password, stored only in your Mac's Keychain. You can find them all in Settings → Guardrails → Job-site accounts, where you can show, copy or forget them.
- It's on when your email is connected (Sources → Email for security codes), and you can switch it off there. Jobs that were waiting in Needs You for an account are retried automatically.
- CAPTCHAs and "Sign in with Google" still come to you.
Drag and drop on the Pipeline board
- Drop any job on Queued and the agent starts applying to it right away. This works for discovered, skipped and failed jobs. Turn on "Show skipped" to see them.
- Applied somewhere yourself? Drop the job on Applied, Interview, Ghosted or any later column to record it.
- The same actions are in each card's right-click menu: Apply with the Agent and I Applied Myself.
A new look
- A calmer ink, stone and deep-green palette replaces the purple, with flat cards and a slowly moving gradient on the dashboard, onboarding, menu bar and big empty states.
Sounds and secrets
- Subtle sounds for approvals, board moves, inbox zero and a few other moments. You can turn them off in Settings → General → Play sounds.
- The hidden easter eggs got a lot more fun. Type "secret" in ⌘K if you're curious.
Upgrading: 0.1.1 and later update themselves. Your data is kept and migrated automatically.
AutoApply v0.1.2 (beta)
What's new in 0.1.2 (beta)
The agent applies on a fresh install (#1)
- New installs start by watching 52 verified company job boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby) such as Stripe, Databricks, OpenAI and Notion. The agent has real application forms to fill from the very first run, instead of sending nearly every Google Jobs result to Easy Apply. Only openings that match your roles are kept, and you can remove any company in Settings → Sources.
Updates reach the agent
- After an update, the background agent restarts on the new version. Settings → Agent now shows the same version as the app.
- If the app finds an agent running an older version, it updates it automatically.
Smarter default model
- Answers, scoring and form filling use Claude Sonnet 5.5 by default.
Review
- Every application has its own Approve & submit and Skip buttons. You no longer need to select it first or press Select all.
- "Tick jobs to approve several at once" explains batch approval. The bar at the bottom handles the ticked jobs.
- The resume row no longer wraps the file name one letter per line.
Job details
- A job waiting on you now has a Questions tab, where you answer its questions right on the job page.
Also
- Add a job by link (⌘N): paste any apply link and the agent queues and fills it.
- Needs You separates things only you can do (sign in, CAPTCHA, verification) from form questions.
Upgrading: 0.1.1 updates itself. From 0.1.0, download the .dmg below.
AutoApply v0.1.1 (beta)
What's new in 0.1.1 (beta)
Finds more jobs, faster
- Searches run in parallel: LinkedIn, Glassdoor and Google Jobs at the same time, several searches per site in their own tabs, with extra tabs opening job pages and apply links.
- New source: Google Jobs (on by default, no login needed).
- Every run continues where the last one stopped (next page, wider date range) instead of re-reading the same results.
- Company finder: discovers companies' Greenhouse / Lever / Ashby job boards that match your roles and watches them automatically.
- Suggested companies in Settings → Sources: career sites the agent found while browsing, with one-click Add / Dismiss.
- Career pages are read by up to 3 agents at once; unchanged pages cost no tokens.
- The agent reads your roles through your resume: a broad role like "Engineering" becomes the titles you'd actually apply for, and other fields (civil, electrical, sales…) are skipped.
- Skipped jobs are re-checked when you change your threshold or preferences.
Applies in parallel
- Up to 3 applications are prepared and filled at once (Settings → Schedule & caps, 1–4). Never two at the same company; the daily cap and Pause apply to all agents.
- Jobs behind an account/login wall go straight to Needs You with a clear reason instead of failing.
Fixes
- LinkedIn crawler works with LinkedIn's new pages (all 25 results per page, clean titles, job descriptions and apply links).
- Fixed a crash and a cut-off details panel in narrow windows; details now float over the screen.
- EEO answers in Settings are saved reliably.
- One-click toolbar: Run now, Pause, Auto/Review, Search, More, Details.
Also
- Check for Updates and automatic updates from GitHub Releases.
- Report a Bug / Request a Feature (Help menu or More ⋯) opens a pre-filled GitHub issue with redacted logs.
- Resume upload pre-fills your job filters; years of experience in Settings.
- Quick-fill suggestions for roles, locations and country codes.
Upgrading from 0.1.0: download the .dmg below and drag AutoApply to Applications (0.1.0 has no auto-update; from 0.1.1 on, updates install themselves). Your data is kept and migrated automatically.
AutoApply v0.1.0 (beta)
First test build of AutoApply: a Mac app that finds jobs, fills and submits applications for you, and asks you only when it has to.
Install
- Download AutoApply-0.1.0.dmg, open it and drag AutoApply into Applications.
- First launch: right-click AutoApply → Open → Open. This beta isn't notarized by Apple yet; if macOS still blocks it, use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
- Follow onboarding. The System check installs anything missing with one click (Claude Code + login, uv, Node.js, Chrome), then Install agent sets up the background agent (first time takes a few minutes).
Requirements
- macOS 26 or later, Apple Silicon
- A Claude account (Pro/Max) logged in to Claude Code: the agent thinks with your own login
- Google Chrome
What works
- Finds jobs on Greenhouse / Lever / Ashby boards for your watchlist, career pages (incl. JS sites), Glassdoor and LinkedIn (read-only)
- Scores every job against your resume and preferences; shows why it skipped one
- Fills and submits Greenhouse / Lever / Ashby forms (resume, tailored cover letter, answers grounded in your profile); an agentic browser handles other sites
- Review mode (you approve each one) or Auto mode
- Needs You inbox: asks once, remembers the answer, and answers questions it can derive from what you already told it
- Reads emailed security codes from your Gmail (app password, kept in the Keychain)
Known limits
- Beta: expect rough edges, and check what it fills before switching to Auto
- LinkedIn Easy Apply is never automated: those jobs go to a manual list
- Cold Email is a preview only
