Pitwall v0.5.0

Install with one command. macOS and Linux:
curl -fsSL https://github.com/Moment-Up/pitwall/releases/latest/download/install.sh | sh.
Windows PowerShell: irm https://github.com/Moment-Up/pitwall/releases/latest/download/install.ps1 | iex.
Already installed with it? Run uv run pitwall update in your Pitwall folder.
See Install with one command.

Or download pitwall-v0.5.0.zip (below), unzip it, and follow
Install from a release
in docs/install.md.

The dashboard inside the zip is prebuilt (web-react/dist): you need uv,
but not Node.js, npm or a HeroUI Pro licence. GitHub's automatic "Source code" downloads do not contain
the prebuilt dashboard; use pitwall-v0.5.0.zip.

SHA-256: 168ab51e67185eb43ed1d98e61ebd1d2f993a557eddfc38cefbba3194fea8b33 (also in pitwall-v0.5.0.zip.sha256).
Check it with shasum -a 256 -c pitwall-v0.5.0.zip.sha256 (macOS/Linux) or
Get-FileHash pitwall-v0.5.0.zip -Algorithm SHA256 (Windows PowerShell).

Before it was published, this zip was unzipped, installed (uv sync --all-extras) and run
(scripts/verify_release.py) on GitHub's Windows, macOS and Linux runners: it served the prebuilt dashboard
and stored and analysed a synthetic telemetry stream. That shows the zip installs and runs there; it is not a test with a game.
Windows support is CI-tested on GitHub runners, not yet validated live with a game on a Windows PC. Which
games are supported, and on what evidence: uv run pitwall capabilities.

The dashboard includes HeroUI Pro (@heroui-pro/react), © NextUI Inc., used under licence and not covered
by Pitwall's terms; it may not be extracted or redistributed separately. Third-party licences are in
THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt inside the zip.

What changed

  • Assetto Corsa Competizione on PC: Pitwall reads ACC on the gaming PC itself (install it there; nothing to set in
the game). Partial: generated data and a tester's live checks, no recording yet.
  • ACC gives lap times, the live delta, braking cues, corner coaching, the track map, tyre pressures, brake
temperatures and weather. Sector times, fuel, tyre temps, flags and other cars: not yet.
  • ACC's lap distance comes from Pitwall's table of 25 circuits (Spa, Monza and Brands Hatch checked); on a circuit
it doesn't list you get lap times but no delta or cues.
  • A closed, paused or idle ACC never looks like someone driving. Pitwall only reads ACC's shared memory and never
creates it, so it can't block ACC or apps like SimHub.
  • A long pause or replay in ACC stays one session, and picking another game while ACC is being driven never stops
    it mid-lap.
  • ACC's traction control is said as its level (never F1's medium or full), and ACC records keep laps at different
    TC levels on separate boards.
  • Choose ACC on Setup › Game or with pitwall game set acc. On a Mac it says Pitwall must run on the gaming PC;
pitwall doctor checks ACC on Windows.
  • Thanks to Ed (Pitwall tester), who wrote the first ACC adapter and checked pedals, steering, speed, gear and the
track and car names live in ACC.
