mycel v0.21.2

Daemon-only patch release for indexed query pagination.

Fixed

  • Indexed query continuation tokens can now be resumed by stateless clients that open a later read-only transaction in the same principal/space/domain scope (#287, #293).
  • Resumed execution uses the cursor's captured snapshot revision instead of the later transaction's current revision.
  • Read-write overlay cursors remain transaction/read-view-bound.

Compatibility

  • Public protobuf/API bindings remain compatible with the existing v0.21 API ref pinned in .release/mycel-api-ref (1182464e29c2fb251a550df0a7e667a34195d1b9).
  • No SDK, Console, or Lab release is required for this daemon fix.

@mbeauv mbeauv released this 01 Nov 12:12
fe9e022

mycel v0.21.1

Mycel v0.21.1 is a daemon patch release for the v0.21 line. It fixes query pagination behavior for LIMIT-exhausted indexed queries and carries the current v0.21 daemon patch notes into the release changelog.

Highlights

  • Fixed indexed query pagination so responses no longer emit an unusable continuation token after LIMIT / FETCH has already been exhausted. Query limits remain total result caps, while page_size remains the response fetch size (#288, #289).
  • Preserved multi-page pagination when page_size is smaller than the query limit, including final-page suppression of the next-page token once the total cap is reached.
  • Documented the pagination contract in the query API design notes.
  • Included the current v0.21 daemon patch notes for inference deletion reference details, immutable MinIO test helper images, and semantic authorization-denial preservation.

Compatibility and upgrade notes

  • Daemon patch release only. The query pagination fix does not require a public protobuf/API, SDK, Console, or Lab release.
  • Public API compatibility remains pinned by .release/mycel-api-ref to 1182464e29c2fb251a550df0a7e667a34195d1b9.
  • No storage format or downgrade guidance changes beyond the existing v0.21 notes.

mycel v0.20.0

@mbeauv mbeauv released this 20 Oct 01:46

mycel v0.20.0

Mycel v0.20.0 delivers the neutral internal architecture, native query planner/executor, lexical correctness and scaling work, and durable graph transaction commit idempotency completed since v0.19.

Highlights

  • Added durable, principal/space/domain-scoped graph commit idempotency with canonical mutation binding, original-result replay, bounded retention/capacity, delivery repair, diagnostics, and Raft snapshot preservation.
  • Replaced daemon-owned query planning/execution with a transport-neutral logical model, shared binder, rule-based physical planner, real physical-plan Explain output, and bounded native operators for indexed, semantic, traversal, broad, mutation, and script execution.
  • Preserved transaction snapshot/overlay semantics while adding finite work and memory budgets, view-bound cursors, rollback journals, lifecycle revalidation, and fail-closed resource handling.
  • Made lexical indexing/rebuild domain-revision-aware and durable across restart/replay, and made lexical/hybrid pagination candidate-aware and request-bound.
  • Removed broad-term BM25 quadratic posting-list rescans by reusing each unique term's live document frequency.
  • Replaced subsystem service coupling with neutral contracts and consumer-owned narrow ports across graph, blob, inference, semantic, and automation composition.

Compatibility and upgrade notes

  • Use mycel-api, Go SDK, and Rust SDK v0.20.1 for commit-idempotency fields, diagnostics, and corrected repeatable-read contract documentation. The v0.20.1 correction is wire-compatible with v0.20.0. Existing commits without idempotency keys remain supported.
  • Graph Raft snapshots advance to V2 and retain live durable idempotency bindings. v0.20 reads V1 and V2 snapshots; pre-v0.20 daemons are not expected to read V2.
  • Before upgrading clustered PVCs, retain a validated pre-upgrade cluster backup/PVC snapshot set. Downgrade requires restoring compatible pre-upgrade storage or rebuilding a fresh older cluster through export/import; do not start an older daemon against upgraded PVCs.
  • Query compatibility remains governed by the documented QRX0/QRX4 gates. Continuations are accepted only for compatible source-safe plans and unchanged requests, schemas, revisions, and transaction views.

@mbeauv mbeauv released this 13 Oct 20:31
4d42df8

mycel v0.19.4

Daemon-only patch release for Raft replay/idempotency recovery after restart or upgrade.

Fixed

  • Fixed automation Raft replay so stale/superseded invocation updates are no-ops when durable invocation state already dominates the replayed command, preventing startup readiness failures from stale automation invocation update.
  • Fixed graph Raft replay so superseded stale graph commits repair applied-command markers instead of surfacing replay-time graph conflict errors, while preserving live conflict behavior.
  • Serialized graph applied-command marker persistence to avoid concurrent marker write temp-file races during replay/idempotency repair.

Compatibility

  • Daemon-only patch release.
  • Public protobuf/API bindings remain compatible with mycel-api v0.19.0.
  • No SDK, Console, or Lab release required for API compatibility.

Validation

  • make docs-check
  • make test
  • PR CI and SonarCloud passed.
  • Mycel Lab destructive validation on the fixed daemon image passed:
    • cluster-release-gate
    • k3d-identity-raft-replay-recovery
    • k3d-raft-restart-hard-soak
    • k3d-commonfolio-upgrade-replay

mycel v0.19.3

@mbeauv mbeauv released this 13 Oct 02:39
b52132e

mycel v0.19.3

Daemon-only patch release for semantic/hybrid search reliability and configurability.

Added

  • Added daemon configuration for the hybrid weighted-RRF rank constant via MYCELD_SEARCH_HYBRID_RRF_K; diagnostics and query plans report the effective value.

Changed

  • Documented weighted reciprocal-rank-fusion hybrid search as the recommended app-facing hybrid retrieval path, including formula, candidate-count guidance, semantic min-score behavior, diagnostics, and downstream usage recommendations.

Fixed

  • Fixed semantic and hybrid search result hydration so vector hits are read at the current graph/domain revision rather than graph revision zero.
  • Fixed semantic rule backfill and maintenance so per-binding physical search-index state is mirrored into central semantic search-index metadata.
  • Fixed stale semantic rule/index dirty queue counts after maintenance processing completes.

Compatibility

  • Daemon-only patch release.
  • Public protobuf/API bindings remain compatible with mycel-api v0.19.0.
  • No SDK, Console, or Lab release required.

mycel v0.19.2

Choose a tag to compare

@mbeauv mbeauv released this 10 Oct 16:26
8781f18

mycel v0.19.2

Patch release for the daemon.

Fixed

  • Fixed identity principal Raft startup replay after restoring a snapshot when the committed tail contains a duplicate-principal application outcome. This prevents daemon CrashLoop/startup failure during snapshot replay recovery (#172, #173).

Changed

  • Docker publish now reads the compatible mycel-api ref from .release/mycel-api-ref, with optional workflow-dispatch override, so daemon-only patch releases no longer require semantically empty matching API compatibility tags (#174, #175).

Compatibility

  • Public protobuf/API bindings remain compatible with mycel-api v0.19.0.
  • Docker images published from this release use mycel-api v0.19.0 via .release/mycel-api-ref.

Validation

  • make test
  • Main CI passed.
  • Destructive Mycel Lab validation against the fixed image passed:
    • k3d-identity-raft-replay-recovery
    • k3d-raft-snapshot-pvc-rejoin
    • cluster-release-gate

mycel v0.19.1

Choose a tag to compare

@mbeauv mbeauv released this 10 Oct 06:25
3a5b4e4

mycel v0.19.1

Patch release for the Mycel daemon.

Fixed

  • Fixed stale persisted graph meta.automation from being treated as an active automation output fence during ordinary graph updates, preventing completed/expired automation metadata from blocking later user or client writes (#166, #167).
  • Restricted automation output fence validation to explicitly marked automation-output mutations while preserving fail-closed validation for active automation writes (#167).

Compatibility

  • Daemon-only patch release.
  • No public protobuf/API, CLI, SDK, Console, or Lab changes are required beyond updating the daemon binary/container image.

Validation

  • make test
  • GitHub CI and SonarCloud on release-prep and promote PRs
  • Destructive Mycel Lab cluster-release-gate: PASS

mycel v0.19.0

Choose a tag to compare

@mbeauv mbeauv released this 09 Oct 14:37
e22985d

mycel v0.19.0

Changed

  • Unified space access enforcement around Space.OwnerID plus identity scoped roles/capabilities. Space/domain visibility and data-plane access now use the same identity grant model exposed by admin principal APIs.
  • Canonicalized legacy space.owner role requests to space.admin; actual ownership remains represented only by the space owner field.

Removed

  • Removed legacy space-local ACL implementation, storage path, raft/WAL grant commands, snapshot ACL state, and daemon GrantSpacePrincipal adapter now that the API contract no longer exposes that RPC.

Compatibility

  • Use matching mycel-api/SDK v0.19.0 bindings for the removed admin space grant RPC.
  • Existing Space.OwnerID ownership continues to grant owner-derived access.
  • Existing legacy meta/access.json space ACL grants are no longer read or enforced; migrate delegated access to identity scoped role/capability grants.

mycel v0.16.1

Choose a tag to compare

@mbeauv mbeauv released this 25 Sep 02:09
c0e015e

Changed

  • Moved lexical graph-change indexing off the synchronous graph commit path. Lexical indexing now consumes durable graph-change notifications asynchronously and replays retained history from the indexed graph revision after restart (#94).

Fixed

  • Made lexical graph-change replay idempotent for duplicate/replayed revisions.
  • Closed graph-change notification registrations cleanly during daemon shutdown so background delivery cannot continue after runtime teardown.

Compatibility

  • No protobuf/API or SDK changes from v0.16.0.
